LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10 (Q), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Hi. Im pretty new in flashing. I have flashed about 10 devices. Do i need to root every time before installing new twrp? What would happen if I dont? I wouldnt be able to install twrp? I want to install Lineageos on a a705fn

It will never come since this rom is long dead. Use newer stuff, it evolved from this. One could also build it themselves from source and add the dualsim patches present in 19.1 and above
