I have been trying to install BeyondROM a few times now on my G980F/DS device.
I have meticulously followed the steps, but the installation process stops at compatibility check in the installer. It goes "Please update your firmware to at least G98xyXXUEFVDB before flashing Beyond V4.4 again."
I have downloaded my firmware (that I have flashed with odin)

from frija.
I tried wiping data partition defore flashing but no.
I stored the rom on a microSD.
Any advice would be helpful !


EDIT: after checking, "ro.boot.bootloader" is G980FXXSEFVE6. It should end with FVDP, right ? Did that happen because I downloaded the firmware with Frija ?

EDIT 2:
Solved it. The first option when downloading firmware was just not FDBV

looks like you're in the same case as I was ! Go to a website like http://samfirms.com/ , find your device and go through the list firmwares, find your flag and pay attention to what the end of the "Version" coloumn (has to be FDBV). If it's not just go further in the list. You can just flash via odin again and the rom installer will work afterwards

I have made a new installation guide for those who are stuck.

1 enable dev menu ( information-software and tap build number many times)
2 go to dev menu and see if oem unock is visible, enable it and continue.
(if oem unlock not visible, then disable automatic time and date and check again)
(repeat step 2 till oem unlock is visible and enabled in dev menu.)
3 Reboot to download mode ( turn off and wait 2 sec or more - hold volume up and down and connect usb cable)
4 in download mode long press volume up and up again to verify unlock ( phone will prompt factory reset)
5 setup your phone and repeat step 1-2 ( You should see: bootloader is already unlocked)
6 Open odin on your pc and enter download mode on your phone.
7 connect usb cable and load twrp+vbmeta in ap section in odin.
8 in odin go to options and uncheck auto reboot
9 click start and blink your eyes.
10 TWRP flash is successful.

Reboot to twrp by force restart your phone with power(bixby) button and volume down button.
After the phone switch of and before it boots up, immediately change to volume up button and keep holding the power button.
Wait till 1-2 seconds after you see the samsung logo and release butons.

*phone off: usb connected, volume up, volume down = download mode*
*phone off: usb connected, power button, volume up = recovery (twrp)*
*phone on: usb connected, volume down, power button = force restart*

In twrp:

11 go to wipe - advanced wipe - change file system
12 change to ext2 and change back to ext4
13 reboot twrp
14 send Beyondrom to phone with usb cable
(if drive cannot be mounted, disable-enable mtp)
(if still not able to mount repeat step 11-12-13)
15 go to install and install rom file
16 go to wipe and delete data only!
17 reboot
18 Beyond Rom installation successful

if bootloop, delete data again and reboot.
Or repeat step 11-17.

For any help on Google Pay, you need to (apart from actually typing a question) supply what should be the basics of information:

* device
* android version
* magisk version
* magisk modules installed
* safetynet passed?

Ok. I tried this and it worked on gms 17.1.22, allowing one to add cards and pay in store. Warning YMMV, but this is the process I did to get this working. One caveat is that I suspect users will have to reverse some step if gms is updated and...

Note: 98% of people dont need to use the module mention in my post any longer, but just check the pre installation checks and if need be do the clear playstore steps (be aware this may remove any loyalty cards you have)

I have been using this ROM like in 2 years since it was upgrading from Android 11. And I just re-flashed the newest one yesterday. I could say this is the best ROM I've had with S20 Ultra dual sim. It's so smooth, even better than Iphone 13 pro max but there are many better things than an Android can have like doing videos calls while doing other things like checking photos, messages, videos. Pretty much more convenient than iOS.

About the battery life, if we optimize it by deleting unuseful apps and put them into deep sleep, prevent them from running background, so it would be amazing. The OS itself can't improve the battery life like the way we usually think. Just check the usage and cut off and everything would be fine.

J'utilise cette ROM depuis 2 ans depuis sa mise à niveau à partir d'Android 11. Et je viens de re-flasher la plus récente hier. Je pourrais dire que c'est la meilleure ROM que j'ai eue avec S20 Ultra dual sim. C'est tellement fluide, même mieux que l'Iphone 13 pro max, mais il y a beaucoup de meilleures choses qu'un Android peut avoir comme faire des appels vidéo tout en faisant d'autres choses comme vérifier des photos, des messages, des vidéos. Pratiquement plus pratique qu'iOS.

À propos de la durée de vie de la batterie, si nous l'optimisons en supprimant les applications inutiles et en les mettant en veille profonde, les empêchons de fonctionner en arrière-plan, ce serait donc incroyable. Le système d'exploitation lui-même ne peut pas améliorer la durée de vie de la batterie comme nous le pensons habituellement. Il suffit de vérifier l'utilisation et de couper et tout irait bien.

It depends on the hardware of your phone. if the original ROM supports it, so I think this ROM will do.
