Why would this be needed on a TV?

Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
Because it would be easier to adjust brightness through android rather than dig through the menus on a TV. Especially if you're only changing it temporarily-- that way normal TV operation wouldn't be affected.

May not be a big deal on some TVs. But others, like mine, it's actually a pain to get to those settings

Cheers

MasterZen88 Another request, if possible add the ability to adjust the brightness
Thanks :)
This works as a work-around:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sebmorand.brightcom

There's other apps that do the same. I recently started using this on my GS4 at night cause even on the lowest setting that phone's a bit too bright for me when reading in the dark.

cheers.

I have multiple devices connected via HDMI to my TV. The Ouya seems to render output quite dark and the lack of any appropriate settings in either (slap wrists Ouya!) means that my only way to control the picture quality is via the TV's picture settings. This works fine, but does mean I have to re-adjust these when I switch back to my other devices.

Besides.....
For example, on mk802 brightness level is much higher.
You can make a very bright!!!

I have seen people using *Build Prop Editor* to change the ID of there phones/tablets/devices to a samsung GT-I9100 to play non-compatible Game-loft Games. Is there any thing you can do to make the OUYA compatible? Games like Blitz Brigade and Asphalt 8 would be awesome on the OUYA. :D

How is it coming? Looking forward to the release. :)
Well currently I'm having problems with xposed, I had it pre-installed but then ran into trouble with force-closures. I currently have a new rom built from the ground up that I will test tonight. If all goes good I should be able to release tomorrow morning.
