You could buy Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Global Edition if you are thinking of buying a similar phone. There are lots of custom ROMs available because of the built in Snapdragon 625. It's under 200$, looks great, is fast enough (for me) and it also has impressive battery life. I owned the P9000 too. In general I was satisfied with this device but I gave it away because MTK-devices just aren't suitable enough for custom ROMs and there are far too few developers for those devices. So in my opinion only users that don't want lots of custom ROMs and mods should buy MTK-devices.
