Magisk is working fine for me in decrypted although im on shadow kernel. had bootloop when my phone was encrypted!

I got it working somehow, I had to force reboot my phone once then flashed magisk again and it worked. I love the dark theme in this rom, however I'm getting some weird pink font in certain apps (QuickPic for example), any idea how to fix that? The font is pink even if I don't set the dark theme.

edit: This rom is also very laggy, it stutters a lot, is that the case for you as well?

This is a great ROM. No lag for me with Sphinx Kernel v2.8, really very fast and good battery life. I recommend a clean installation :)

Hello

My Nexus 5X was in a bootloop, so I had to flash an original rom with oreo 8.1 and a custom boot, once I tried to update the system, in a normal way, without flashing anything, but my smart phone came back to bootloop, so I went back to fix it, do you know if your rom did not leave my Nexus in a bootloop?

It is a clean installation for me, with ElementalX Kernel. I tried changing the rendering engine to openGL (skia), that definitely helped, but I wouldn't call the phone smooth, coming from PureNexus 7.1.

When switching from Nougat to OREO is a better to formatting all + decrypt your data. Then install last vendor OPM6, candy rom, gzr gapps, kernel (for me Sphinx Kernel) , reboot again into recovery ad flash Magisk 16, done.

I've done all that my friend. I'm trying crDroid now and it feels better even though it encrypted my phone when I first booted, I should have flashed magisk before first boot.

The UI is more responsive to touch, I'll see how it does after a full day use, if it slows down I'm going back to 7.1

This is very strange. Try with Sphinx Kernel and set it with EX Manager: IO scheduler ROW, readahead 512 KB and overclock big little 1958MHz.
For me this setting works well with all ROM [emoji6][emoji847]

sorry to hear about the lag. I'm trying to build a pure aosp build and see how it goes!

sorry to hear about the lag. I'm trying to build a pure aosp build and see how it goes!

The stutter is most noticeable when scrolling through the google now feed or when pulling down the status bar. I guess it's not the ROM's fault, the phone is always hot and throttling on the big cluster. I've tried other ROM's and it's not much better, Nougat ran better than Oreo for me. It's time to upgrade the hardware it seems.

I think I will he coming to this ROM as my previous ROM ended support. Just a quick question though. There seems to be a lot of problems with magisk and encryption, so is there any way to have magisk installed and be encrypted? Thanks. ?
