We are very excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Quartz, based on Android 10.

On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.

Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.

very good, but how come, Custom kernels will not be supported?
will the kernel stock be good enough to suit those who play a lot and who value battery durability?

We need live display settings because of burn in problem with mido, and there's that annoying "sim 1 is hd capable notification".
Other than that, rom is pretty good and smooth af.

Wanna try this ROM, but i prefer to wait for the update that fix this.

nice but there's one annoying bug, I cannot disable the navigation gesture bar
I'll try this ROM when this bug be solved in future updates, disabling nav gesture bar is important for me, cause i use the fiscal buttons.

24bit+/192khz playback doesn't seem to work. Mind fixing it ?
Nonetheless, this seems to be the smoothest rom out for Mido, barring in few issues here and there.

What is difference between Off i Unoff?

Usually a team starts a ROM project with certain features and objectives and they (team members) would be supporting certain devices, these ROM s for the listed devices are called official build.

Independent developers use the source code to port the particular ROM to their device and build it. Such a build is called unofficial. It takes a lot of effort to iron out the bugs in any initial build. Once most of the features are working, a dev releases the ROM. It takes some time to find out and clear the rest of the bugs.

Once the ROM is stable and upstream sources (updated/latest source code ) are merged, the dev applies to the team for official status.

It depends on the team when to declare that the device has official build, this happens very quickly if the dev is a distinguished developer and is already releasing official build for another device, though it's a bit rare.

These are my limited impressions. I hope some devs or members might be kind enough to add what I've left or if I've mentioned anything wrong.

See in the requirements, the use of latest MIUI Firmware and Kudproject recovery.
What happen if i'm iusing another custom ROM, not MIUI and using OrangeFox recovery, can i still flash PA?
u still can use the old firmware, the reason for using latest firmware is because usually the latest had more stable , i'm flashing this rom with orange fox r10 n got error ,but with kudproject is ok
