Introduction
RevengeOS is a custom ROM based on AOSP which aims to increase you phone smoothness, offer a better user experience and make your battery last longer

All the source code for Revenge OS is available in the Revenge OS Github repo.

Installation instructions

1. Download ROM, Gapps are included !
2. Optional: Perform a TWRP backup of your current ROM (Optional but highly recommended).
3. Wipe /data, /system and /cache.
4. Flash ROM !

Note: First boot can take some time.

in this rom you have to flash camera2api to use gcam

You can read: Hal1 default

so you need to activate hal3 for gcam, btw in the next days we want to boost up the development of this rom for our device, thanks for feedback.

I suggest to add the testing rom instead to stable.

This was my favorite ROM on my previous device, Lenovo P2. I loved the smooth animations. Can anyone confirm that hal3 can be enabled seamlessly? And exactly which steps should be taken? Ability to use GCam is the only thing that's holding me back from switching to Revenge OS.

In system/build.prop file search for HAL and you should find something like this: persist.camera.hal3.enabled=0
Now change 0 to 1, save the file and reboot.

Also if there was no line about it, paste it, save and reboot.
persist.camera.hal3.enabled=1

I already used this method. But gcam just crashed. Maybe it seems to be resolved with next update

I installed the new build posted today. It wasn't announced neither here or on Telegram. Animations are smooth as always. GCam seems to work flawlessly, bur WhatsApp camera is broken, which was exactly how it was on my previous ROM AEX. So far so good.

Only if you're coming from MIUI.

Fast charge doesn't work. Sometimes the clock only shows the hour and instead of minutes, there are just dots. Lock screen notifications also randomly disappear.

This is how the minutes disappear from the clock occasionally. If the dev could fix the notifications not showing properly on lock screen bug that would be awesome.
