Dialer and camera not working for me

I can't make phone calls, it requests PIN verification very 10-15 seconds and the camera won't start (says "Can't connect camera".)

I wish I could chime in more but I'm not using the rom right now due to mobile data not working.

For me, it was almost perfect and I was gonna use it as a daily driver until I realised data didn't work.

We're all in the same boat. Data is obviously required more so than any other working component.

I'm sure it'll get there. (Praying)

Holy cow! So far so good for me as well! No issues with the dialer yet. Haven't had a chance to check bluetooth handsfree calling in my car yet but, WOW!

Thanks!

Update: Is there a change log regarding this build? I see that its a point release but I can't really tell any difference from the 0.8 release. Same things work, same things don't. Not much to report on. However I did receive a SystemUI crash which was new.

I'm about to install this. Will report back in a few hours.

I'm curious if you got this build earlier than others or if you dled it via the usual channels as the rest of us(Xda link)

You said "after 24 hours" but the difference between when the build was announced and your claim of using it for 24 hours is only 7 hours. I'm just curious as I'd like access to this as well.

I've had it running for 72 hours without the dialer giving me an error (using it strictly to make and receive calls from the phone).
Bluetooth hands-free (in my car) still causes the dialer to lock-up and/or disconnect the bluetooth. So not sure if the lockscreen or standby is playing a part in the dialer malfunction

I'm foregoing the hands-free in my car because I love the rom...

Dialer and Camera are WORKING on 0.8.3

Great! Now dialer and camera are working on this 0.8.3 version. The only problem remains the mobile data. This is a great rom the runs very smoothly. It would be great if you could do it bug free :fingers-crossed:

Weird...I don't see a new build. Are you in the process of uploading it? Do you have a direct link? Love to try it.

OK, so after installing the latest Candy5 v 0.9.0 these are my findings:

In Settings:
Home Button Wake Device: Broke
Back Button Wake Device: Broke
Your kernel doesn't support these features.

Cellular Networks, You forgot to theme it in Material Dark, so its still White.

After updating Google Play Services it breaks most Play Services Reliant Apps. Apps include but are not limited to:
Google Play Newsstand, Feedback Agent, Hangouts(Opening Any Conversation FCs it), XDA Premium, Reddit Sync(Adding your account FCs it).

Mobile Data, I'm in a pretty bad location to give any real insight into how unstable and broke it is as my single currently sucks regardless right now. (Holidays out of town, and in a ****ty little town in middle america, lol)

I can tell you with certainty that I have data running CM12(an unofficial build for the M4). And all gapps and apps that I mentioned above run flawlessly. So they are specific crashes to Candy5.

I will be honest, I didn't run v0.9.0 for much longer than a few hours. But these are my initial findings. After updating Google Play Services and reinstalling my apps(not the data for them) it was just too crashtastic so I just restored.

Material is really nice, definitely the version I'd like to run. Merry xmas and thanks for your efforts.

Wth...?!? Are u sure u flashed the right ROM..? Lol I have NONE of those issues u described... And would be surprised if u didn't do something wrong to cause these issues.

I'm sure some maybe device specific bugs..but the array of issues you have sounds more like a user issue than ROM ....

Any and all gapps issues you are having 10000% are not ROM related... Or Everybody would be experiencing these probs (1000’s of C5 installs) ...and that IS NOT THE CASE..we have 1 report of these issue...right here.

Umm what kind of proof would you like? Screenshots? Screen recording?

And rofl @ flashing the rom right. Listen this isn't rocket surgery. Wipe dalvik/cache/data/system. I actually do that three times because I'm anal. Then select rom, add gapps and super su. Install. Then after I proceed to wipe delvik again just for sad measure. Reboot.

ROM boots, install apps directly from the play store(I don't use titanium or any other form of backed up data).

Please don't be condescending and ask me if I flashed it "right". Yeah been doing this for awhile.

I'm not really sure if you're claiming I'm lying so have some screenshots.

There's lots of other bugs I can describe as well. But when users like you say things like " did you flash it right" it really makes it hard to want to come back and report.
