Have you updated your recovery lately? Maybe give that a try & I'll see if I can replicate the issue myself.

I'm on 2.8.7 twrp. Didn't think there was anything newer.

That recovery should work fine. I have a couple newer builds out if you want to give them a try?

EDIT: My gapps link was outdated with 5.0 but we need 5.1.1 gapps now. Link has been fixed. Sorry for any confusion. This should fix the crash during setup.

The version of Candy5 is Android 5.0.2 but it's stated on the thread that it's 5.1.1 maybe am not getting the latest update.
From the dl of the OP which is candy5-Release.v1.0.1-20150226-OFFICIAL-t6.zip on AFH is version 5.0.2.
Where can I get the latest update? or if it's 5.0.2, please make changes to the title thread. Thank you

A few posts back I mentioned the new uploads were moving to basketbuild since we got our OTA app working. The changes have not been made to the OP yet. Below is my post.

New builds coming soon! Some are in the oven now. I have just installed my new SSD so this will allow me to push builds out in about 20 minutes.

EDIT: The latest builds can be found HERE, just find your device folder. I'll update the OP with direct links soon.

Quick Review

Awesome ROM! Currently rocking on the international variant. Not so different from CM12.1 but this is spiced up improved with a lot of useful features and customizations. network signal is great, getting full signal everywhere I go.
Few issues I would like to address is about a feature like Double-Tap feature, (with my little knowledge in Android I know it needs a kernel that support that, currently I haven't seen any kernel for our device to support that.) which is not working.
One more feature request I would like to see in the next build is to be able to display weather on the status bar, as we have seen in the mentioned ROM features that has been added to make this Candy5. Thank you

Just installed the last possible build on T6.
Have a couple questions:

1. Every button (back, home) has a delay, approx. 1 Sec. May I reduce this delay? it nerves.
2. 20% battery power in 8 hours - I think it's a bit too much for a device in standby mode (screen switched off), should I probably wait several days and check it again?
3. Google now... would like to remove it completely, but at the moment I even can not deactivate it any more. Earlier it was at least possible to disable the app.

The rom definitely needs a couple of days to settle in before judging the battery life. Most devices are having the buttons issue iirc. Google now should be able to be disabled within your settings..

i too like the rom but lacks the kernel for double tap to wake and htc logo as button.

also the fingerprint scanner. can't find it or its not there.

edit also peel remote wont control my tv but it used to work on other roms.
works fine with zapir

Those features we will never see on this phone. Except fingerprint scanner currently only works on sense roms. We may see it on marshmallows aosp roms.

Most devices are having the buttons issue iirc.

"Xposed Additions" module may fix it if you set doubleclick delay to 100ms. But it ruins other features: buttons do not accept any action for double or long press any more (so, no "overview", no "menu" feature etc). That's why I disabled this module. I do like this ROM, but this button lag...

Anyone having com.android.phone crashing on this latest build? The last 3 cm12.1 builds have this problem for the sprint variant. The 9/9 doesn't but did have a couple of random reboots.

From what I am reading, HTC locked down the fingerprint scanner to only non-tampered, locked bootloader to be usable. I try to set it up and it never goes through on any sense rom.

put latest build on and love it!

awesome work if i say so myself .

iOnly issue but not effecting it ishone only showing half gsm signal even though i have a booster and the signal is actully full. lol

but a very small issueas the rom is great.
