BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING, PLEASE READ THIS THREAD: Note 8 Pro Megathread, FOR INFORMATION, THEN GO TO THE INSTRUCTIONS.

Instructions (antibrick):

First time installation:

• Unlock your phone
• Сonnect the phone to the PC
• Backup your photos and other datas on PC
• Reboot to Fastboot mode (vol- or vol+ with power button)
• Download and unpack [FASTBOOT]CFW2_tool+TWRP.zip
• Choose your device folder [begonia] or [begoniain]
• Run !_FLASH_IT_W.bat on Windows or !_FLASH_IT_L.sh on Linux
  DO NOT MODIFY THIS SCRIPT, IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET A BRICK!!!
  If something goes wrong, check if you have ADB drivers installed on Windows, or packages with fastboot on Linux.
  Will be flashed: Service Preloader, [CFW2] TWRP, CFW img's and etc., after which the phone will reboot into TWRP.
• In TWRP click on Wipe menu and make:
  - Format Data
  - Wipe /system, /vendor, /cache
  (don't pay attention to failures in console logs)
• Download and place the ROM to the internal memory of the phone, which should have already opened on the PC
  (I do not recommend SD cards, often phones fail because they turn out to be broken)
• Click on Install menu and chose this ROM
• Download and install others additions which you need: GAPPS for ARM64/10, Magisk and etc.
• Reboot to system

TWRP installation/update:

• Choose and download your device variant of service zip: [TWRP]begoniain-A10-CFW2_antibrick.zip (Indian) or [TWRP]begonia-A10-CFW2_antibrick.zip (for others versions) and place to the internal memory of the phone
• Download and place the ROM to the internal memory of the phone
  (I do not recommend SD cards, often phones fail because they turn out to be broken)
• Reboot to TWRP mode (vol+ with power button) then install service zip
  DO NOT MODIFY THIS ZIPs, IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET A BRICK!!!
  Will be flashed: Service Preloader, [CFW2] TWRP, CFW img's and etc., then phone reboot into new TWRP
• Click on Install menu and chose this ROM
• Download and install others additions which you need: GAPPS for ARM64/10, Magisk and etc.
• In main menu of TWRP click on Wipe menu and make:
  - Format Data
• Reboot to system

Update installation:

USE THESE INSTRUCTION ONLY FOR UPDATING FROM MY PREVIOUS BUILD TO A NEW !!!

• Download and place the ROM to the internal memory of the phone
  (I do not recommend SD cards, often phones fail because they turn out to be broken)
• Reboot in TWRP (vol+ with power button)
• Click on Install menu and chose this ROM
• After installation click on "Wipe Art/Dalvic" button
• Reboot to system

Rollback to the factory firmware:

• Download and unpack any MIUI Fastboot version ROM for begonia or begoniain
• Reboot to Fastboot mode (vol- or vol+ with power button)
• Run flash_all.bat on Windows or flash_all.sh on Linux
  DO NOT USE OTHER ROLLING METHODS IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET BRICK !!!

Known issues:
- NFC: only HCE mode as anywhere (card emulation without an NFС chip is not guaranteed)
- Standard application for calls: echo effect in call with BT
- Unstable NightMode

I'm also having lots of reboots with the fingerprint sensor. Looks like it's much slower than the standard one, and you need to keep your finger still for much longer.

nope, it is not related to this and will be fixed soon

you're out of luck, your phone is from a problematic series with a fingerprint for custom firmwares, but we are working on it
