Devices produced after this summer have new hardware. I already mentioned this several times that the devs should at least address this issue when editing the first post (stating that everything works) but so far nobody seems to care.

So if YOUR front camera works that doesn't necessarily mean anything.
Calm down pls, I didn't know that i just try to help... From your doubts I guess it didn't work on many roms. Does AnxCamera also not do the trick for you?

It doesn't matter which app you use, it's a unsupported hardware issue, missing kernel driver.

And yes, I'm more than frustrated by now. This issue has been known now for at least 4 months. Still all overglorified "What works" sections don't mention it at all.

If it's unfixable atm that's ok, but at least mention it!

I don't even want to know how many people are browsing XDA for affordable phones with good rom support, end up buying a N8P just to realize their camera isn't working afterwards.

Yup i rooted with v21 too.
Anyway I don't feel like going through the whole back to stock fiasco right now so I'm going to test out a few gapps packages and post what works for me. For now NikGApps Omni doesn't have the same problem, but it doesn't have the apps I need. As far as I can say, the problem is caused by the pixel setup wizard or the pixel launcher.
Regarding this,

I have now tested three GApps packages on fresh installs of this ROM (NikGApps, BiTGApps, Unofficial OpenGApps ) and the problem with the gesture navigation bar i had posted before seem to only be present in the Macro, Stock and Full versions of NikGApps.

However, i have noted a few more even annoying issues/bugs.
1. The "Compact" navigation bar option seem to revert back to Normal in a while and i have to change it back to compact again from the "Radioactive Tweaks" for it to be compact again. - The setting however remains at compact, i have to click on normal and then compact again for it to work.
2. I can't seem to get Google Voice Match to work. I have been using this feature in my previous ROM with the same account i use for all my phones, i tried deleting my voice model and retraining it but it just turns back off when i go back to that menu. I assumed this problem has to do with the GApps so i tried this on all three packages i mentioned before, the problem seem to persist in all of them.
3. Thirdly, there is no live wallpaper picker installed with this ROM. I understand this isn't a priority feature, and it doesn't affect anyone's daily usage, but since Android 10 supported it, I'm unsure why it isn't included in this ROM..
[EDIT:] 4. There was also an issue with the MIC with WhatsApp and normal calls. This never happened to me when i was using POSP.

I would imagine these problems are either with this specific ROM or the Android device trees since they seem to be common in all the GApps versions out right now, So my next step before i flash CFW V2 and go back to POSP is to try all these GApps with the two Android 11 ROM out right now (Pixys and if that fails AOSP).

Anyone else have these problems?

[EDIT:] Above problems are also present with Pixys, with the exception of the live wallpaper picker, which is available in that ROM but for some reason crashes. Since these problems will affect my daily use than the touch lag and the memory management issues in POSP, i'm going back to POSP.

Now I can see why I didn't have these bugs, I had the basic version of NikGapps installed. I went back to Android 10 too, because of some apps that don't yet work on Android 11. Be careful though when going back to CFW v2. Could you please let me know if a normal CFWv2 zip flash with rom worked for you? Because my Phone wouldn't boot anymore, no matter what I did. Had to reflash Stock MIUI from Fastboot and go from there again.

I wiped Cache, Dalvik, System, Data, Internal Storage and Vendor before I flashed CFW V2. So the order goes as wipe said partitions, flash CFW V2, ROM and then GApps. And then boot to system. I'm assuming you didn't flash Magisk right away, let it boot after flashing the OS and GApps, and once the setup is completed reboot to recovery and root. Also i don't know if you have to flash the CFW package that corresponds to your phone model ( Begonia and Begoniain) because both of them seem to work fine for me. Oh and if the boot sequence hangs at the Redmi logo, go back to recovery using Power and Volume Up and format your Data Partition and then reboot to System.

That's weird indeed. Atleast it works now. I decided to try this ROM out after a few future updates to see if things will be fixed. Because in general, it felt way smoother than any Android 10 ROMs for this phone. Lets see. :)

I don't think this rom yet nicely supports live wallpapers... don't know the exact reasons....i used nikgapps with this rom..far better than others..but the live wallpapers addons don't work properly.... although this is working with the latest pixys os Android 11 version... but not this one...

I tested Pixel Experience with CFW 3.2, but after that, I got stuck in a boot loop after flashing Cesium.
Flashing CFW 3.0 first did also resulted in a boot loop.
Will you update the cesium to support CFW 3.2?
How can I revert to CFW 3.0?

Was having the same problem. My device boots only when the 20201026 CFW is used. Even then, the camera force closes. Otherwise, the ROM feels smooth. I've made a screen recording here

Edit: I have problems installing apps due to SafetyNet not passing. I had to move to another ROM, sorry.

My safety net worked did you use magisk hide?? And.. About the camera some of them worked, but the most bad for me is the bootloop with some magisk modules with orange fox we can remove the module otherwise you can't because of encrypted rom.

Just an update here,

Using the phone with the rom now with no problems so far. Cameras work fine but they are better with wyroczen's 7.3 v2: GCam_RN8P_Wyroczen_7.3.020_2.0.apk. With this apk the cam work almost perfect with some fc here and there
.
Using heavly all day with youtube or just reading ebooks in the end of the day i got about 40% which is awesome, no problems with finger print, nfc, nothing that i got so far..

Big thumbs up for OP donating with pleasure @Sahil_Sonar keep the amazing work!!!
