Someone made this boot.IMG with RC5 stuff for fastcharge, no idea who...

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_VqQAje0irIVlhUYllBdHlYaDg/view?usp=docslist_api

Also he said if you put this file in system/etc/init.d you can enable it.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/699oweqt54ex16r/01fastcharge?dl=0

Well he was a nice guy.
But don't forget to thank the original developers of this stuff.

Hi there!
Regarding fast charge procedure: Flashiing this image, we only choose boot, right?
Where do we find the fast charge options after doing this?

I'm a little lost here...:p

Two things :wifi starts slower than on rc;when switching feom 4G to 3g everything fine, but when switching again to 4G a reboot is needed to have signal.

Yes, you flash the image as boot
And there is no explicit GUI option, the way that you can set it to fast charge is by copying the script file to the directory, /system/etc/init.d/" and changing the permissions to 755 (chmod 755 /system/etc/init.d/*), then simply reboot your device and you shall have fast charge set at 1.7A on AC and 500mA on USB) :)

Yeah, and in the init.d script file you can set the charge amout that you want, respecting the max and the min.

Hello
Thanks for the reply.

It is possible to engineer mode CM12.1 when you have other custom rom? For example before he had a Lenovo A820 with a custom rom android KK for the Spanish forum "movilesdualsim" and engineer mode worked perfectly.

Thanks and best regards

thanks but i tried several times..give 755 permission...no luck...the charging is still slow.did you try it ?.
Does directory /sys/kernel/charge_levels exist?
if so : can you show content of 3 files charge_level_ac charge_level_usb quick_charge_enable
the script should have set them to 1700 700 1
if those are your values then script worked and maybe the issue is with the charger.
(personally I do not have a charger to go faster so I go slow)

In the script file the USB charge is set to 500, change it to 700 with any text editor and copy it to /etc/init.d folder like @diordna said ;)
Then give it the correct permissions, reboot!
But none of this will work of you didn't flash the correct boot.IMG
And yes, I did try it and it worked for me perfectly :)

For building cyanogenmod, you basically don't need any source of your device.
One can download cyanogenmod source and try building it for a particular device.
For this, you need to create a so called "device tree", which includes the basic configuration to make it work on this particular device.
Of course one could create this device tree on his own, but mostly there's already some similar device one can fork and modify. In this case one should give credits to the original developer.
Fire855 has created our device tree on his own, but he/we still used the RIL patches from jianminglok (hence giving credits to him).

Smartwake and fm radio are developed by mediatek, and had been fixed to work in cyanogenmod by me. Both depend on proprietary mediatek code, and can't be shared.
