[ROM][CLANG][7.1.1][Substratum]PixN Rom

Just installed the current version of this rom and i can't perform the necessary step to uninstall the current Gapps and install another. Open Gapps causes Package Installer to crash when i try to grant it permission to file storage during the app setup. Is this a known problem? If not, how do i report it?

Ignore that. I have no camera app for some odd reason, but the wifi worked after a reboot.

Great work! I just need to know- Have you experienced overheating? Is there thermal safety implemented? I got a fright my device got to 93°C without shutting down automatically. I'm running beta 6 from MEGA on my D6603. Looking forward to new releases for my board.

Enable 5Ghz Wi-Fi

This ROM for Sony Z3 (PixN1_6_D6603.7z) tuned to see 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks only so enabling 5 GHz requires little tweak.

Variable "ccode=XT" in the file /system/etc/wifi/bcmdhd.cal should be changed to "ccode=RU", where RU is your actual presence country code. If you enter code of some country your are not actually in, the system switches off 5 GHz probably not to break RF regulations.

Before you can edit file on the system partition, you should make partition writable. I use sshdroid on rooted by SuperSU phone, you may use other tool providing root shell.

#cp bcmdhd.cal bcmdhd.cal.orig
#sed "/^ccode/s/XT/RU/" bcmdhd.cal.orig > bcmdhd.cal.new

#/system/bin/reboot

Note the last command reboots phone, because turning Wi-Fi on/off not sufficient.

P.S. Wireless hotspot does not work for me.

Recommend this ROM (b6) as a daily driver

Heavily used this ROM (beta 6 on Z3/d6603) for a week as a daily driver.
ROM is almost rock stable. Just one sudden reboot in a week. No FC at all.
No lags at all. Runs smoothly like a velvet. Quickly switches between heavy apps.
Battery lives for a day (about 12 hours) under quite heavy load. Lot of calling, texting, some video, lot of twitting, playing music stream.
