Flash cwm recovery again and install supersu zip to root. This ROM I guess won't be developed further but I didn't face any major issues with 4.1 on top of wiko rainbow. Heating I guess has now become compulsory with every android device. You can root your phone and use apps like greenify to manage battery in a better way.
u mean flash CWM by PC? without rooting? can you give me the link..

Got the 4.1 CleanKat , but lost the cellular signal. [EDIT-SOLVED - with MTK tools]

UmangLeekha,

This is really awesome work from you!
Much appreciated.

Now. I have just gone through this thread & other threads of your ROMs.
I was on Stock KK (Micromax A120).
Now, I flashed the Stock KK (from this thread, page 1)
Still on KK (MMX_IN_06 -Custom build).

How do I proceed to flashing Cleankat V4.1 ?

Do I need to go back to JB?

EDIT:
I did download the JB Stock & Flash CleanKat over it.
Now, I have rooted into CleanKat 4.1 ! (Cheers)

But, since morning today - after flashing stock KK, then stock JB, then CleanKat4.1 The "cellular signal is lost"..
It does detect the vodafone sim card in phone. but does not show up any signal.
I tried the regular stuff - Factory reset / wipe, remove reinsert sim / reflash the ROM/ enabled roaming and et all.

If I try to "select automatically" under the Mobile Network, it gives me the error:
"Cannot connect to this network now, try again later"

HELP - ASAP - appreciated.

Thanks again.

Please advise.

Things are a bit confusing with so many instruction sets in this thread.

Sony.

Check your Imei number whether it's intact by dialing *#06#
If there is no Imei number, that's your problem. You can add it back using mobile uncle tools. Google the same, you might find how to tutorials.

Thanks, I had checked your reply (solution : Mobile uncle tools) on previous page, but, I read in initial pages, that it only worked with 4.2 base ROMS, hence was wary of trying it.
I did restore the IMEI numbers from MTK tools. (there is a video on YT, incase any one wants to refer).

3 more questions from my side:

1. Do IMEI numbers often go missing? Does removing sim-before flashing through sp tools help in avoiding this?

2. I finished a few charging-discharging cycles & still my battery life with moderate usage is lesser than what it used to be on stock :( (Stock battery life has been always > 24 hours on single charge)

It is now ~ 10-12 hours only. (on wifi + 2-3 hours screen time + whatsapp/fb/instagram ON all the time)
Can anyone please share their settings from "Performance settings" for:
a. regular performance
b. Best performance (gaming)
c. BEST battery life

3. How to get the clock in status bar? :p Mine refuses to come back. Only when I pull the status bar down, it shows time.

Thanks for this ROM again, Umangleekha.

Cheers,

Sony.

To answer your first question, no. It doesn't, and I don't know the reason why it doesn't happen always. In the initial flashes it was intact but the last time i flashed the rom, it erased the imei data. About battery life, well you can try using greenify to better manage the battery and maybe Google other tweaks if any. And the clock, you can find it in settings, I don't use canvas colors anymore so don't quite remember the location but I guess it's in cleankat settings and you can position it the way you like.

You might want to check whether all the drivers are installed.
No other method that I know of.

Install the PDA drivers properly. Maybe you can search a bit on xda or other sources. Can't help you beyond this point mate :|

Hi Sir, I would like to have your permission to port your rom to my device "M4 SS4045" and share it, we have poor support of roms for our spanish device, so I want to make some work for it.

Additionally I'm curious about this apps: "ApnSetting_MTK.apk" and "DataConnect.apk" , what are they used for? As after the first boot they resides in memory. Thanks.

I am on stock kitkat.. Kernel version date is June 4. Which base should I flash? This is my friends mobile. I just got the mobile yesterday, so I am new to here. Managed to flash ctr recovery. Now I am confused between wiko, fota and Rio base.

Flashed Rio over stock and is working fine. Now the internal storage can't be mounted. Does that mean I cant use the internal memory?

And can someone please suggest me a good rom to flash over stock kitkat?

If you are interested in Lollipop roms .. Try these
1.aosp lollipop rom...( just flash through the sp flash tool).
