Hello,

Recently OnePlus started a closed beta program for the android 9.0 (pie) update,
yesterday a build was leaked online, i managed to download them and reupload the to mega.nz.

Here are the download links:

For OnePlus 3:
https://mega.nz/#!yYVTSSiQ!2AhVHHWe6E8C_EwOPqoMdoV7YWsXLVTWFkmqn5gxT3w

For OnePlus 3t:
https://mega.nz/#!zAFR1AyI!LyuDp_F4SVlwgXTJ4COCiZeZDyXo-x9_1gg5uULSXVY

You can install with TWRP,
after install you need to preform a factory reset otherwise you wil get a Decryption unsuccessful error.

Here is a youtube video of the build:

Local upgrade works without losing data.

Can you describe a bit more? I know we need stock recovery to do local upgrade but
1. Were you on unlocked bootloader when you performed the local upgrade?
Was your /data encrypted?
Did local upgrade directly boot into OS with all the previous apps and data from Oreo ROM with no data loss at all?

With locked bootloader and local update, no data loss for me... Everything working has it should..
Upgraded from Oreo to Pie with all apps..

But always backup just in case...

Just as I thought. The build actually create issues for people with unlocked bootloaders.

Was not aware if there are issues with unlocked bootloader.

Mine was encrypted as per work side account requirements and bootloader was locked too.

Didn't lose any app or data in that situation
