VZW_Matt's ImprovedCyan!

This is a build of CM10.1 I compiled with my favorite tweaks included. You can expect better performance of the overall ROM, better audio, better battery life(coming soon), and improved overall user experience.

Features
initial build
Code:
franco.Kernel
mohit1234's camera tweak
BEATS+XLOUDER! 4.2.1 JB Louder Audio Improvement Patch
Seeder for lag correction
Custom Nexus Boot Animation
All your favorite CM10.1 features
MORE COMING SOON! PM with suggestions to add to the next build

What Works
Everything to my knowledge

What doesn't work
PM me any issues, so far everything is good.

Credits
Boot Animation by sonnysekhon designed with wallpaper from evilisto.
Camera Tweak by mohit1234
Thanks to Misledz for the Beats+Xlouder!
franco.Kernel from franciscofranco
And Finally Seeder from Turbotab

Seeder Disclaimer
I know there has been a lot of controversy lately about if Seeder actually does anything productive. With my tests I see vastly improved performance, and no change with my battery life, so I have included it in the ROM. But, just to appease the crowd, I only installed the APK version so it has to be enabled by the user by clicking on the app and running it. Also because of this, it can easily be deleted if the user doesn't want it on their device.

Instructions
Wipe Data (if coming from anything other than cm10.1) cache, delvik
flash ROM
flash Gapps
Enjoy
:)

so you just put the cm10 rom and all the tweaks available on the nexus 4 together....wow
For the initial build, yes, currently working on my own battery improvements to be implemented in the next build, this is a rom that yes basically implements all the best tweaks for the nexus in with CM, essentially a one-stop-shop.

If you implement Sweep2Wake, and roll back the touch screen drivers to get better sensitivity this would totally be my daily driver

Yeah, it'd be great if you could build on the franco kernel and just implement the sweep2wake feature. I was contemplating doing it myself.
From what I can see, it is just simple addition of 2 files and modification of 4 files in the source and then building the kernel.

Here is the link:
https://github.com/mathkid95/linux_lg_jb/commit/eed8a6b4e371454be5e0107b4631d7425fbe6329

EDIT:
Another minor modification which faux committed after talking to showp1984, probably fix some minor issues that others were facing:
https://github.com/faux123/mako/commit/ee367c56abfaf69347e22bc3ebe144508a8b622d

Also please consider navbar modifications to be implemented into your modified CM ROM.

does seeder actually work with the nexus 4, its already buttery smooth..
Nope.. It's a placebo in my opinion

That's right. In general that seems to be the opinion of most experienced xda devs as well as the google dev team. [someone had raised a bug report in which a google engineer responded].

The general theory seems to be that, it is either a complete placebo effect or is happening because the constantly running app causes the phone to be locked on to higher cpu speeds thus reducing lag. [ to which supporters will say that it is working even via other methods not requiring an app to be constantly running and is not affecting the battery in any way].

But, I guess OP firmly believes. So, to each his own, I guess.

That sounds like a ridiculous waste of everything.

Waste of what? If you are talking about power, this doesn't consume much power [1-2% max I guess] as unlike an app it is implemented into the kernel. Plus it's really nice to not use the power button everytime to switch off/sleep the device. To each his own.

Well, in the next build would you guys rather me just replace the kernel with the bricked kernel? I've been testing it with this rom and I think it works amazingly. The other option is I could attempt to build sweep2wake directly into the franco kernel... Would take more time. Which do you guys think?

I think it would be great if you can build the sweep2wake over the franco kernel. Franco is generally more stable and arguably having better battery life according to many users.

I'd keep Franco kernel. I've heard of an app that allows the sweep to wake function so you wouldn't even have to waste your time with it. Anyone that can't be bothered to hit the power button could just enable it via the app.

That app, PGM isn't working on Nexus 4. I contacted the developer, who said that he has been working on it, but is not sure whether he'll be able to add support for Nexus 4 ever. There are other/less reliable [doesn't work that well] alternatives which use proximity sensor [in which case, i may as well press the power button, as the primary motive is to do everything one handed from bottom of scren; plus doesn't work well for me and many others; not sure about battery drain as well as proximity sensor will be always on, i think]
