[ROM][CM10/AOKP/PA] Lets play P.A.C.Man! builds for old & new bootloaders |unofficial

Rugglez and MetaIIica present

P.A.C.-Man 19.0.0, a true all in one ROM for the unlocked ICS bootloader (unofficial)

Combines features of CM10, AOKP and Paranoid Android to give a hybrid all in one ROM

P.A.C.-Man was originally created by szl.kiev, and built for our device by Grarak. Thanks to both of them!
But....
Users on the new bootloader could not play P.A.C.-man....
....till now

MetaIIica suggested that we bring the ROM to the new bootloader.
Thanks to pengus77 for all his work on bringing CM10 to the new bootloader!

ROM description:

• The struggle to find the ROM you need is over. Some people like CyanogenMod 10, Some prefer AOKP, Some like the advantages of Paranoid Android
• To cure your rom hunt we have come up with the P A C man Rom
• PACman is a unique rom
• We have picked the best features from CM10, Aokp and PA and combined them in a single rom so you get the experience you deserve
• To enjoy the features of every available project without the hassle of flashing regularly

• Wipe data if coming from a ROM other than CM10
• Flash ROM and gapps (gapps for 4.1.2 from goo.im)
• Wipe cache and dalvik cache
• Reboot
• Enjoy playing PAC-man!

About Paranoid preferences:

• Paranoidpreferences app not included in the ROM.
• Find it from elsewhere and push into /system/app with permissions rw-r--r-- (644) if you need it.
• "Paranoid settings" in settings will show up only after doing that

Here my P.A.C. Man Build


My Build have following changes:

• Theme Hue as default
• integrated App PimpMyRom
• integrated Flashplayer for Android 4.1.2
• CameraMod (you can change Storage)
• Swap enabled ((for no problems with Panorama)
• GoKeyboard as second Keyboard (if default had crash)
• integrated GPS-Test App
• integrated TitaniumBackup Standard
• Support for PDroid
• BRAVIA® Engine

When you boot your first time and you come to put your Name and Surname, you see the default Keyboard. When you want use Go Keyboard do following:
1.Go to Notifications and click Choose input method
2.then go to Setup input methods
3.Select GoKeyboard
4.Now set GoKeyboard as Default
5.at last make GoKeyboard Setup and now you can use GoKeyboard to input
6. when finished Setup, you can deactivate Stock Keyboard by rename LatinIME.apk to LatinIME.bak if Stock.Keyboard made Trouble again

For the Camera, at the first start may crash(not must)... Please start again and now its work

If you have Problems with GPS, use PimpMyRom and set your gps.conf for your Country... This config works absolutly fine and you have direktly a connect

Use TRWP instead CWM... Is easy and the best is, have batch mode so you can flash Rom, GAPPS and patches in one. Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2108075

if you want flash paranoidpreferences.apk via CWM here a Template where you can put in your self downloaded paranoidpreferences.apk
download for_ParanoidPreferences.apk.zip
open this file with WinRar or 7zip
browse inside to /system/app
next put in your paranoidpreferences.apk without compress
close it and now you can every flash it via CWM after flash P.A.C. Man and GAPPS
or copy it manually in /system/app and give the permission 644 or rw-r--.

The stock kernel has been built by me, but you can flash any CM10 kernel like pengus77's kernel.
Stock kernels are usually stable, untweaked, and you may call it boring
Stability and usability are the top priority of the stock kernel. Hence, it lacks experimental tweaks, RAM hack etc. The screenshot put up on the first post was taken after flashing a custom kernel.

Don't know if its the right place for this post: is it possible to port the camera (maybe settings) from gueste 3.8 rom to this? It made really good pictures, best in my opinion. Thats the only thing I miss in CM10.

The first build was built by me, but Metallica is in the process of setting up and configuring his build environment now, so maybe the next build will be his.
There are a large number of stuff to be set up and fixes to be made to build this, and we're pretty much on our own when it comes of reference material, so hopefully he will get through the build phase using the way I did

About the camera app port, the overall quality of camera pics, videos on ICS/JB has been able to match the GB one yet, hopefully that will change. Meanwhile you can try this, I havent tried it yet though.

Author in this thread says that

if you use JB CAMERA bitrate will be twice as bad

so does it mean that JB CAMERA quality will be decreased? Does it also affect CM10 JB camera app, since it's based on aosp like JB CAMERA?

has Storage to save in intern SD and extern SD

Flash and next wipe data and dalvik.
Next boot up and clear data in Gallery in Settings/Apps/All

then open Camera. can(but not must) crash in the first start, but next start work fine

in my next build, i integrate this camera.
