I have no flash on camera even though torch works fine. 9/12 build. If everyone else has flash I'll just re-flash the ROM,anyone?

Huh, I don't think I've seen this on any previous builds but phone stays awake while in airplane mode. Anyone else? Using 9/12 build.

I've got a question regarding battery life. When in standby battery seems to last forever, although I am syncing with almost everything. But after 2 hours with screen on my battery is dead.

I did experience this with pretty much all other ROMs I have flashed so far. Is this standard or is my battery maybe already worn out? I am using stock battery, no tweaks regarding kernel etc.

Gesendet von meinem HTC Sensation mit Tapatalk 2

The stock battery is not very good, especially if you have the 1450Mhz variety. I would get a replacement battery. The stock HTC EVO Battery works well, or I have a Momax battery that runs at 1700MHz and lasts significantly longer than stock. They sell for between $15 and $25 delivered.

Morning, just tried the latest release yesterday.....and I am still having the same issue with my bluetooth headset. Anyone with this issue? It pairs, says connected but no sound coming thru my headset. Otherwise, all is good. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Running on latest firmware(3.33), formatted and clean the system before flashing, running on latest 4ext......

Same thing happened to me. Sense roms worked fine. Aosp roms didnt.

I tried everything and am not certain that it was fixed by anything I did or if it just resolved itself.

The last thing I did was delete the extra apn's and reboot. It took another hour, but it has worked fine since.

I cant search for the thread right now, but search my history of threads I started. It should be the most recent one. I was begging for help just like you, but I listen about a dozen things I had tried. Maybe one of them is something you havent tried yet.

My next option was a ruu reset them starting the rooting process over from the beginning.

Thanks, man. I just took a look in that thread, but it looks like I've now done everything that you did. I'm starting to wonder if T-Mobile has something that figures out that I'm no longer catering to their data-mining needs, since the spyware embedded in Sense is gone now, and they cut me off? I did let my phone sit for a while without WiFi, while I was teaching class. 3 hours later, though, and still nothing.

I don't really want to go back to a Sense-based ROM, but I might have to. At least the Senseless ones don't look like Sense (to me, the only thing uglier and clunkier than Sense is MIUI). I'll mess with this for a bit more, then take a Nandroid and switch to something that gives me mobile data, messing with AOSP ROMs when I can. :(

That's not it. If it was none of us who have had this problem could have gotten it fixed. But that doesn't mean it's not a T Mobile issue.

Do we know if anyone who ISN'T on T Mobile has had this problem? I know a bunch of people have had the issue. Is there anyone who has had this issue who's NOT on T Mobile?

Try this....Delete ALL your APN's. The re input the T Mobile APN from scratch. (Obviously math sure you know what the setting are)

Maybe your APN is corrupted somehow even though all the values are correct.

Have you changed anything on your plan lately? Added minutes? Got a new SIM? Anything where T Mobile has made changes to your account? I spent an hour on the phone with their tech people when I had the problem and the guy told me data issues are often caused by your account getting messed up. They can try a whole bunch of other things on their end like canceling your SIM card and reinstating it to make sure it's properly registered in the system.

The last thing the T Mobile tech told me to do was a full factory reset. Obviously a complete wipe and fresh install accomplishes the same thing. But give that another shot. Do a full wipe, fresh install, and delete the extra APN's then.

Just realised from the recent discussion about full wiping that I've never done it right - I've only ever selected the top option in 4ext (factory reset) not the bottom one (format all partitions except sd card). What's the difference and is it worth starting from scratch again?

The factory reset just wipes your data. Meaning your apps and settings and what not. It doesnt' touch the ROM itself.

Full wipe takes everything (well, just about everything) off the phone and starts over completely.

Bruce hasn't done a full wipe yet. So there's no reason you really need to do a full wipe. But if something is glitchy for you and you want to do it, do a FULL wipe. If things are running smooth then you probably don't need to bother. I've been doing updates without Wipe since I think 8/24 without incident. So don't sweat it unless you've got unique problems that the rest of us aren't having. (If you're having the same problems as everyone else it's because the rom is still a beta and there are problems in teh code that no amount of wiping will help)

I haven't seen this problem with anyone else but this is a bluetooth issue. When i pair my phone with my car , it connects without any problem. But when i turn the car off then restart it, it doesn't reconnect. I've tried turning bluetooth off then back on, tried to reconnect but it doesn't. The only way i can make this work is by re-pairing the two of them.

It also does the same thing with aokp's ROM, which would make sense since it's from the same source...

Anyone else have had this problem?

Back to Virtuous for the time being...

Thanks for your hard work Bruce2728.:good:

I updated to 9/12 (Again) earlier today and I've got 2 questions....

1) What exactly do the Scorpion optimizations do? (I know I know...they optimize) Does this just make the processing more efficient? More battery friendly? Faster? Sexier? Will this make me more attractive to potential mates? :highfive:

2) I've had a data problem a couple of times where data turns itself ON. (I know, it's the opposite of the problem most people with data issues are having.) Anyone else had this? Or was it just a fluke those couple times it happened? It hasn't happened in a few hours.

Everything seems to work a lot better than it did when I flashed 9/12 yesterday. I think something must have gotten botched in the install because nothing seemed to work properly. Everything is much better today.

Yeah, I tried making a new APN from scratch yesterday, and that didn't help, either. While I was doing it, I also discovered that trying to restore to defaults (I believe it's in the menu when you're looking at the list of APNs; I can't check right now because I'm restoring my nandroid backup) doesn't work, and trying to search for networks also fails.

I haven't changed anything on my plan in about 2 years, when I bought my Samsung Vibrant. That Vibrant still works and gets a data connection with this SIM, and so does this Sensation when I'm on a Sense ROM, which is why I think it's something specifically to do with AOSP ROMs. I'm thinking about digging up my old Sensation (it still works, but is kind of ugly after it hit the sidewalk at high speed in a fit of temper...) and doing some experimentation with it while I go Senseless on my primary phone. I'm going to miss JB, though :(

EDIT: Oh, now someone's just screwing with me. Guess who has a data connection again? Not going to complain, of course, but jeez....

EDIT2: Thanks again to everybody who tried to help me.

EDIT3: Nevermind. It's blinking again.

EDIT: Oh, now someone's just screwing with me. Guess who has a data connection again? Not going to complain, of course, but jeez....

That happened to me too in the 3 days I had this same problem. Everyone once in a while it would connect and lock on.

It was like it was connecting for a second, then getting booted by the network, then occasionally the network would let the connection stick. I left it on one night for like 8 hours while I slept thinking that maybe it just needed to register with the network properly and that hours and hours of uninterupted connection time, constantly communicating with the tower, would help it.

Nope. I woke up the next day, turned data off, and instantly it wouldn't go back on.

Since reverting to Nandroid versions where I know everything worked, I became suspicious that it wasn't exclusively the rom itself. The network has to be part of the problem. But thats' where my thought processed ended. I couldn't figure out where the real glitch is.

Tell me this....how long have you been having the problem? From my experience and from what I've read about other people having the issue, no one seems to have the issue for more than 3-4 days, then it goes away.

Probably right that it's a mix of AOSP and T-Mo not working well together on occasion. It's frustrating, but maybe I just need to deal with it for a few days and see if it goes away. I've only had this problem for about 30 hours now.

I forgot to do a FULL wipe coming from VI 4.0.2. Just did the 'factory reset/wipe' like yourself. I thought bugger it I'll try it anyway. That was about 4 or 5 updates ago. I haven't had a single problem since. I think this ROM overwrote all partitions correctly, hence no troubles. Same definitely couldn't be said for other ROMS though.

If your not having any troubles I wouldn't worry about it. I think I got lucky actually, as I haven't had any of the problems people seem to be having. Apart from the known ones. And with only doing a 'factory reset/wipe'.

    Install notes

A full wipe using 4ext is only required if coming from another ROM.
DO NOT use a superwipe script,
    Install ROM
    Install Gapps
You only need to flash gapps if doing a clean install or if the gappps have been updated.

If you are flashing over a previous build the don't wipe anything, not even cache.

    Kernel features

To enable these you have to edit 'system/etc/init.d/89bruce' with a root explorer. You will also have to reset the permissions of the file to 'rwx r-x r-x' before rebooting.
