Hi all,
got my hand on a KF and installed this ROM, and everything seems to be working fine except for the homescreen applications: they won't stand a reboot.
I mean, I place no matter how many applications (from Aldiko to Terminal Emulator, you choose) and they stay until the next reboot. After that the homescreen is perfectly clean and I must start all over again adding applications.
Could not find an answer in this 375+ pagelong thread, any clues?

I've never had an issue with any of twa's roms for KF. You could potentially flash one of the previous roms and then dirty flash to the newest and that might fix the problem. Personally, I would move over to twa's latest KF page and download the newest 4.2.1 rom! (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2051331) It's much smoother and faster than this one. My antutu score (if you know what that is--- if not you really should check it out!) has gone up several hundred points from when I flashed this 4.1.2 rom to the new 4.2.1. I'm sure twa will help you with this one within the next day but I think you may want to move on for now and try the latest and greatest!

That's the amazing thing with the newer 4.2.1 ROM you get both. My battery life is longer (thanks to a kernel that is better at deep sleeping when the screen is off) and my Kindle is still more responsive thanks to Frandom! Frandom is super amazing! You'll love what twa did to the most recent ROM! You probably won't even venture back to this thread after you install that ROM!

I can't think off the top of my head all that is gained from the switch, except for the cLock widget for lock screen and what I believe is a 'crisper' on screen font, but all in all it is worth the switch!

If you're asking what I think you are, hold down the power button and select "minimize status bar". When you want the status bar back, do the same thing.

You might need to clear the Play Store data to see an effect: Settings -> Apps -> Click on Google Play Store -> Click on Clear Data.
I tested it and XDA Premium HD now shows up in the store, starts and seems to work. Haven't tested any other apps because I don't know which ones people have issues with.
If you want to revert to the KF build props you need to flash the ROM again (no wipe required).

Note regarding the new gesture zones: It allows you, for example, to setup up to four top swipe zones. The second zone is the top swipe zone by default.
sbrady might provide zone visualization in the future to make it easier to setup zones.
Also, it seems that Google finally fixed the widget disappearing bug - at least for me HD Widgets survived a reboot after updating it.
