I´m having some Battery issue´s while listening to musik.

after listening to some musik for 40 minutes i lose like 30-40%battery,this forced me to use airplane mode quite often....

But the rom Seems pretty stable only reboot i had was while surfing on tumblr(in browser) with a lot of pictures and Gif´s.

By the way did you increase the Voltage of the Cpu?

I´m gonna give the raw kernel a shot now until the next beta.
Same problem here !! The battery drains out quickly. The rest is super-stable and awesome to it's roots. :)

Il Guess something is with wrong with your kernel :(
Have you tried forest kernel? Is raw better?

How To prevent Lost ROOT, bootloops and draining battery and phone overheating

After flashing the ROM, flash the Raw Kernel v9 CM12. The heating will eventually decrease.
How To prevent Lost ROOT, bootloops and draining battery and phone overheating
Clean install. (Factory Reset (Recommended to avoid any FC or bootloops) , delete cache and Dalvic cache OR
Dirty install ( without Factory Reset )
1. flash Beta7
2. flash GAPPS
3. Flash fix keyboard ( fix beta7)
4. flash UPDATE Super su-V2.45 ( prevent LostRoot. )
5. you can chose :
a. stay in Bauner kernel ( included in ROM) and go to no 6
b. OR flash Forest kernel v5
c. OR flash r9 rawkernel Geecko
6. flash TRIMM.
7. Delete cache/Dalvik. (avoid random reboots )
8. Reboot before reboot usually question Fix system root ? answer No , you will get root

A. If you have draining battery you can do
1. Go to Recorvery
2. delete cache and Dalvic cache
3. flash TRIMM
4. or change kernel ( save kernel for LP : MMC_CAP_ERASE is disabled, Chasmodo )
5. reboot
6. use regularry boost Apps : CM,CCleaner, Boost Now, defrag and so on from google play

B. If your file defragmented
Used regullalry Defrag or defrag PRO ( from Google play )
C. If your phone overheat ( because many apps autostart , same time more than 20 apps run togetter !!! ) Use regullalry autostart Manager and from Clean Master ( Google play)

D. If you confused file structure in your SD card
Manage your file.Use X-plore from Google play ( very used full used from era ICS)
Thanks Bauner for this beautiful rom.:good::good:

1/2 day with beta 7 .... second run ...

Greetings all !!!!!

I installed beta 7 day before yesterday. The reason .. the beta6 which I was running for the past week was becoming slow. I tried the various tricks I learnt here killing all applications, clearing the cache from recovery and even the dalvik cache once. But no results at all. On fifth Feb I had to take some pics wit the cam .. but I was getting ragged by the slow performance. I was using google camera. So, the same afternoon I did a clean install ... Factory reset, clear cache, clear Dalvik Cache then format internal SD card and install. Due to my familiarity with this thread I missed the keyboard patch.

After install on first boot it gave me a dirty message saying that no sim card was detected... after detecting the wifi it searches for SIM card ... though the message came on screen I could see full GSM signal ( have any of you faced this???). I ignored it. Then there was no keyboard (reminded me of Alpha5). So I skipped the rest of the steps and went into settings to rectify the keyboard. From that time itself the performance was SLOW. Then I got my apps back using the recover data option in recovery. All the time it was quite slow ... but everything was working nonetheless. Then the guy started some soft reboots .... though this was serious enough I thought may be it'll settle down so left it as it is. This phone being my daily runner, life wasn't easy. But I have a lot of faith in this development , so before reporting it I wanted to do another install.

So today afternoon I re-installed. Simple factory reset, clear cache, clear Dalvik Cache, install beta 7, install gapps (missed the keypad patch once again). The whole process took less than 10 mins. First boot was about 40 secs. I noticed that the number of android processes have decreased from 124 (B6) to 100 (B7). Then it hunted and found the wifi in less than 5 secs. Simultaneously the GSM signal came up but the the next screen showed that SIM card is missing. I ignored ... as expected no keypad. So skipped everything went to setup setup the keyboard, logged into google, retrieved my contacts. This time I re-installed all the apps. This also went through very quickly. Then I rebooted into recovery and backed up this installation.

Contrary to what I have been reading from other users, till now there has been no untowards incidents. The phone got back its speed and now chugging along smoothly. I rebooted it once ... boot time is lesser than B6. Wifi is stable .... GPRS is alright. I played my game of bubble world (I played for about an hour and half) battery consumption was 18%. So normal use ought to be good. I have root access. So i am set.
@bauner : thanks for the camera ... someone reported its not as good as Samsung original . I dont expect my phone camera to be a DSLR, so I am happy ... its easy to use .... quick to respond.. clear photos ...

Will update after using it for a few days .. but so long so good .... again a happy camper ....

Thanks Developers .....

4. flash UPDATE Super su-V2.45 ( prevent LostRoot. )
Thx for your post.
But the 4. step is only needed if you want to use supersu instead of the cyanogenmod root implementation.
If you don't flash supersu you can enable root in the developer options in settings. (you can enable the developer options by tipping 7 times on build number in settings-about phone)

You still have root, both if you answered yes or no.
If you answer yes, though, Titanium Backup does not complain.
You have only to remember to enable root in the developer options.

I have a stable installation of B7. I have some queries here :
1. Why are folks facing root access problem???? At reboot after installation it actually fixes it .. then I just go into developer options and give it root access for apps and ADB.

2. Why do I need another Kernel? The kernel which comes with the B7 .... isn't it good enough? What extras can you get with other kernels?

2. What does TRIMM do? In case I face auto reboots later can I flash TRIMM , delete cache and Dalvik Cache and fix the problem? Please mention the download for TRIMM.

The B7 feels real robust ... I don't want to roll back... thats why I need these answers ....Please respond

1. Why are folks facing root access problem?
In some cases programs like titanium backup wont work with the cm-root-management.

2. Why do I need another Kernel? The kernel which comes with the B7 .... isn't it good enough? What extras can you get with other kernels?
Other kernels use different settings e.g. for cpu-clock, undervolting or max. temperature.

3. What does TRIMM do? In case I face auto reboots later can I flash TRIMM , delete cache and Dalvik Cache and fix the problem? Please mention the download for TRIMM.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trim_(computing)#Flash_drive_specific_issues
As it is likely to get TRIM in one of the next kernels by @bauner, i dont see a necessity to flash it now.

TRIM doesn't help with crashing or reboots, it has absolutely nothing to do with that stuff. On flash-media the device consists of flash cells that can only be written to a certain amount of times and not all cells can be accessed simultaneously. The flash chip keeps track of which cells are in use and how often they've been used so it knows which cells it can more safely utilize for write amplification and to speed access times, and that's where TRIM comes into play: an OS/kernel that supports TRIM can report to the chip which logical areas are not in use and are available for the chip to do with as it sees fit. Basically, proper TRIM makes the flash last longer and speeds access times up. But I repeat, it does not fix crashes or reboots.

As for the kernel itself: bauner said he's going to release a new kernel which has TRIM included and he's apparently tweaking voltages and clocks, too, so you can just wait a few days until he releases the new one.

Please search in this thread for root. It has been answered many many times
bauner I think it will be good to put this information in the OP itself how to enable root in this ROM as this is not very obvious that now root is part of the ROM itself and people need to enable it in the developer options and no third party SU app is required anymore.

I want to report some bugs here in beta7

1 ) The hotspot configuration mostly resets when phone is rebooted !
2 ) The performance tile in the notification bar does not work, it turns to power save tile when added !
3 ) Access points in the mobile data section also selects a default AP when the phone is rebooted, i have to select a different AP every time OR other access points need to be deleted !

Those are not ROM related bugs. They are themes/lollipop bugs - no ROM itself. Do not report bugs lukę that.
