I couldn't wait so I just flashed this. Here are a few thoughts/facts:
-Wow... Lollipop is so freaking beautiful.
-As @tysonraylee said, the animations are very smooth. I personally don't think it's fair to compare it to current 4.4 ROMs because pretty much everything is broken and it was a very clean flash with no apps or GApps. But for what it's worth, it's smooth.
-Turning off the screen doesn't work. The device will reboot.
EDIT: Looks like it does work. It wasn't working before... dunno what happened :D
-So, if you simply want to go back to the lockscreen, go to display -> daydream, and start daydream, wait a few seconds, and you will hear the screen off sound. After that if you touch the display daydream will go away and you will see the lockscreen.
-Charging while the phone is off will also reboot the device.
-I suggest disabling AOSP keyboard after flashing this. It would continue FC'ing and it's annoying, and you're probably not gonna type something on this anyway.
-Lollipop is so beautiful. I can't stress this enough.
-So freaking beautiful.

So anyway, I'm looking forward to this being more stable. Not sure how long it takes or if it even happens, but this is great stuff. I hope the bugs are not that hard to fix, cause Samsung horrible source codes have made a lot of devs very tired... :D

This is great news, I was going to start on the Lolipop ROM, but I've had so much work to do! I've still got a 3 page article to write by tomorrow! :crying:
I don't think I'll be trying it out the ROM just yet as I do need cellular network connection aha. Though after my assignment is finished, I could possibly give you a hand on this?
Hi @napster100
First of all to represent all other eager Lollipop'pers out there, it would be our happiness if you can help @bauner to develop this. of course please finish your essential work first. Thank you very much for any contributions that you will make in N7000 forum in the near future.

Cheers!

ok so i went ahead and flashed it because i really wanted to check it out and turns out i find it faster than
11) put the battery back and boot the device into recovery by power+home+ volume down. if it doesn't boot into recovery then try again.
12) once you are in recovery flash the kernel with the recovery you want and reboot recovery.
13) do the factory data reset, wipe cache, dalvik cache and format system.
14) restore your backup previously taken
15) reboot :)
16) use triangle away app to get rid of the flash counter and triangle
these are the steps I followed and was able to successfully restore ROM without losing any data.
follow only if you know what you are doing. I am not responsible if you lose data or mess up your device.

Hope it helps

thank you very much ;)
Thank you for your guide , but I'm stuck at recovery section. I've flashed the jb kernel already , no matter how many times i've tried going to recovery it keeps going into download mode. Or is the buttons volume up + home + power? Tried that , doesnt work too , it just shows the booting with triangle.

Edit : Never mind , sorted it out . I did the Volume up + home + power and waited for it to boot into recovery , I thought at first it was booting into ROM thats why i kept removing my battery as stated.

Vol Up + Home + Power and hold even if it reboots. You'll see the recovery soon enough.
