Hello to all,
finally my phone is came back from samsung assistance,
they can't repair it and ask me 150 euro to change motheboard,
at this price I prefer to don't proceed and take another phone.

Now I put it on charge and there is a string appears
that say me:
"firmware upgrade ecountered and issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again".

Do you think that I can do another try? Kies or Odin?

Are you able to put the phone in download mode by holding Volume Down + Home Key + Power Button?

If I remember right you could not flash anything with odin earlier?
Then it can be that your emmc is damaged... Or had you usb connection problems earlier too?

Something is really annoying with the default MMS app: every time I receive a message while the conversation is open, there is no notification or vibration. So I find myself missing a lot of messages this way, because I'm not always looking at the screen and it turns off just after that. Nothing is shown on the lockscreen. I don't think it's a bug, maybe a CM feature... An annoying one. Any workarounds?

I can't say when the first test version will come.
There are 2 mayor problems that needs to be fixed before I will release the first test version.
The first problem is a soft reboot everytime after wakeup from standby and the second one is a problem with the new storage handling that currently will show all the internal partitions and not only the sdcard and mark them as damaged (and a repair will damage the partition table).

But there is much more work to do like a not working ril and gps. So the first versions will be alpha and not usable as a daily driver

It's ok here when the conversation related to the SMS i'm just receiving is not open in the app, if the app is not open or if the screen is turned off.

I have restored my cm12.1 20151030 backup and did some tests.
I always got a notification on incoming sms.
For me it will work everytime with enabled and disabled screen and with opened and closed sms apps

I think tahat we should look for a fix on forums of devices with similiar hardware (android one are mtk devices). For us most helpful would be fixes from i9100, i9300 or N7100.

If I open a page that plays video via Chrome, the entire phone hangs for 5 seconds so that the video can be loaded.
If I play the video, the phone again hangs for 2 seconds, then starts playing video.

If I forward the video then again phone hangs for 10 seconds.

If I forward the video two or three times then the video stops playing. If I move pointer again the video plays for 0.5 seconds and then stops playing.


Even on the Twitch app, sometimes the streams do not load. Sometimes the stream is playing fine and suddenly I get the "Error loading video" message and the stream keeps playing fine without issues.

Just reporting this but I think you should look into CyanogenMod 13 first because it might fix these minor problems.

Much smoother in Firefox. No lags.
Issue only in Twitch app and Chrome.

Are you using the "OTA Updates" app to update?
What error are you getting?

Default Browser is lagging as well but freezes are of lesser duration probably cause it uses less RAM than Chrome.
However, forwarding the video didn't make the video stop playing like in Chrome. But forwarding it does slow the phone down for 5 seconds until the video starts playing.

bluetooth audio issue - any working settings?

You can edit the volumes in /system/etc/tinyalsa-audio.xml
If you can find some better values please tell it to me because I don't have a headset

Have you found any working settings for Bluetooth audio issue?

As suggested, I tried changing the mic values for following cat: <device type="builtin-mic">

<ctrl name="Mic 1 Gain Volume" value="0" />
<ctrl name="Mic 2 Gain Volume" value="0" />

and replaced with "5"

Still don't see any difference while making the calls from Bluetooth device however if I get any incoming call and connect it via Bluetooth the other party can hear me well. The problem seems only while making the calls.

Can you pls suggest some workaround or any other settings/ values needs to be updated from tinyalsa-audio.xml
