I've same problems after this :/
I've same problems after this :/
The recovery boots fine, but there are two problems:Great . Thanks
Working recovery means that we can flash directly from internal/external sdcard ?
Will it charge switched off ?
Thanks
You mean even after using Kingo Root???I've same problems after this :/
I tried kingo root and after upgrade binaries don't work fine like superuser koushYou mean even after using Kingo Root???
The method suggested by me didnt work? I just now used it to re-flash alpha 7.1 and providing root access!
The recovery boots fine, but there are two problems:
- it mounts the right internal storage partition, unlike this ROM, for flashing and USB mount
- it is an old recovery from Omni that isn't able to flash this ROM as is, so you'll have to flash Forest's kernel before flashing another version of this ROM. (that's because I'm extremely lazy, I could have extracted the recovery from this particular kernel)
Wanna know how I did it? I extracted boot.cpio from the kernel image using galaxys2_kernel_repack, copied it to my kernel directory and launched the build. There is no code to merge for the recovery.@GeeckoDev, I truely amazed that you've manage to merge the recovery into our device,
seems if you and bauner exchanged expertise, I would say, our LP can become hybrid CM+Omni,
I mean, we'll have working recovery (almost 100% :silly, and our framerate restored and making it more smooth Lollipop to be lick, yummy :silly: :silly:
anyway, would it be possible to merge some of the code from you for next bauner build ? :highfive:
if bauner already merged his latest experiment with working recovery, it would be nice to have variant type of kernel/recovery for our LP~ :victory: :victory: :victory:
Hi GeeckoDev,I made an early build of Raw Kernel r7 that runs on this ROM, with the alpha 7.1 initramfs and a working recovery. More info here![]()
use mobile OdinHi GeeckoDev,
Really appreciate your contribution to our device.
How can i flash this kernel over Alpha7.1 recovery. Sorry if i ask any stupid query.
Thanks in advance
Don´t worry, be patient :fingers-crossed:@prinzkazimir @bauner guys, will there be deal between you two ?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA Free mobile app
Thanks for the reply mate, How can i flash using MobileOdin since this is flashable zip package.use mobile Odin
or go back to your previous ROM and flash it along with lollipop.
You could also try to flash a kernel from PC Odin and boot to it's recovery then update the recovery by flashing raw kernel or any other that supports se linux then reboot to recovery and flash this kernel
I would recommend mobile Odin though
REVENGE SOLVES EVERYTHING
Try this. Go to settings > WiFi > advance > and disable Scanning always availableI am facing Continuous REBOOT issues.
Installation of nightowl rom was all ok. I logged in to google account and installed apps from playstore too. All was working good. Then I switched off my phone for around 10 minutes. When I started the phone back following issues started,
1) pressing the power button reboots the phone.
2) screen timeout was set to 30 seconds. Once 30 seconds are over, phone automatically reboots.
In short, continuous reboots. Please help.
They worked on your device and looked for a solution for 15 hours ......My device could not be fixed
Now I look at ebay for a cheap one, maybe with broken display.
If you speak german here is the email from the service:
If I've understood correctly, it's OK to use your kernel/recovery to flash other things (and to use your kernel) but not to flash the ROM itself? The recovery boots fine, but there are two problems:

Exactly. If I've understood correctly, it's OK to use your kernel/recovery to flash other things (and to use your kernel) but not to flash the ROM itself?
(this would be a good step forward anyway, THANKS!)
just keep a copy of raw kernel for kk too and you can flash anything. No Odin required at allIf I've understood correctly, it's OK to use your kernel/recovery to flash other things (and to use your kernel) but not to flash the ROM itself?
