7.1 Update - If it helps the Dev

I have flashed alpha 7.1 two days ago. Giving you my 2 cents just in case it helps

- Battery backup not as good as the alpha 5 (Not sure about the alpha 6 or 6.1 coz i din flash those) but still holds for an entire day with average use
- I have been reading a lot of members saying that the device heats up. But trust me, My device does not heat up at all!
- There is a slight lag after continuous usage. Clearing the recent apps solves it for me.
- Native video still doesnt work. MX Player works for me using the S/W codec
- Data connection works brilliantly! Is there some change that makes network reception get better??? Coz my network reception is on full in places that it used to be at 2 bars when on the KK ROM.
- It is already mentioned that GPS is not working so i wont walk that route.
- The multiple users option works but there is a solid lag when switching between users. Screen goes black for about 3-4 secs before it switches
- The AudioFX included in the ROM is excellent while on headphones

Hope this helps at some level
@bauner - This ROM has given me the ability to flaunt my device in front of my friends who have Nexus phones saying that I will never get the Lollipop update thanks you they are now mouth shut!!

Previous versions had this issue.
And 3g connectivity is surely better than any kk builds I tried. Easily clocking 300-400 Kbps.

@knedge I totally Agree with you! I have all bars on my device too. And like I mentioned, the connectivity is way better than on any KK builds that I have used either, which is why I was wanting to know if Bauner did any tweaks to it.

guys you might find it funny and little bit off topic too . but the only reason i revert back to kk is xposed installer is not working in lollipop . cause even in lollipop i want to use google now launcher but icons are too massive by default . the only way to change their size is by xgels which runs on xposed but xposed wont run on ART . and even i dont want to use any other launcher . i even tried decreasing lcd density but its not pretty . so guys do you have any idea how to change icon size in 5.0 in google now launcher ?

internal SD is working but not accessible the tradional kk ROM way. the mount links are wrong which is an issue yet to be solved and hopefully the dev will solve it soon
So It means that though internal SD is working you will not be able to see/access your photos/videos through gallery and restore from titanium backup if you are coming from a kk ROM but your old data is still there but only accessible via a file manager. You have to wait for a fixed updated from bauner for it to work properly

Theres a difference between an internal sd, that you can access via filemanager only or a sd, that can be used by all the apps.
IIRC on 7.1 you can use the internal sd for the first time with your apps.

Guys,

As many of you know that our beloved Dev @bauner had lost his Note beacuse of developing purposes and has bought a new one just two days ago. We are thankful to him. I personally and wholeheartedly thank him.

Even during the absence of his phone, we all saw what he achieved and what a wonderful job he did.
Now he has the phone and working on it as he says. Which means there is alot to come in a few days. We should be patient a bit more.

I believe, we should also stay assured about the bugs, since he is following the thread closely and is aware of them. And there are many contributing. And, also please do not forget that this is still an Aplha rom. Besides asking No ETAs, we should not ask for some minor changes and mods as well. Let's have a Beta version first and then we can all work on better experience. During this period, please do not hesitate to come up with solutions, reccommendations to eliminate the major bugs.

At this juncture, I also want to thank @GeeckoDev for his kernle support and detailed explanation of the development.

Just two cents of mine.

The beta 1 release comes on saturday with many fixes like an working cwm6 recovery, fixed video playback and my optimized kernel with 14 cpu steps instead of the stock cm kernel.
The internal sdcard /storage/sdcard0 will show you the files inside the 0 folder and the full internal sdcard (with the 0 folder inside) will be mounted on /storage/oldsdcard0

I don't know is that is too much to ask You - have you also looked in gps sources? all other exynos 4 devices has it working
