The beta 1 release comes on saturday with many fixes like an working cwm6 recovery, fixed video playback and my optimized kernel with 14 cpu steps instead of the stock cm kernel.
The internal sdcard /storage/sdcard0 will show you the files inside the 0 folder and the full internal sdcard (with the 0 folder inside) will be mounted on /storage/oldsdcard0
would that have fix for screen off reboot bug as well?

I don't know if I can find the reason for this problem till the beta release.
But if you enable "scanning always enable" in wifi advanced you won't have the reboot problem
thanks... and no hurry.. i just wanted to confirm :)
and you have given the workaround, so the fix can wait :)

This is better than any other custom kk ROMs.
Sorry should have mentioned on screen time.
If I use normally I get more than 2 days on lollipop 7.1 and I tested it .

Hi, @brandalz :eek:

on behalf of bauner and TouchLeClouds, :)
we've already discuss on issue on how to go back to kitkat and such, ;)

I really think that you should do a bit of reading before pointing question everywhere, no offence, :confused: :(
# Option One, :laugh:
here's the manual created earlier by @TouchLeclouds, on how to "regain access" to recovery and change to your fav custom rom, :silly:
1. Download the kernel/recovery
2. Flash using Odin v1.85, put under PDA, :silly:
3. Go into recovery and flash forest/bauner kernel. :silly:
3. Reboot into recovery and restore/flash your old custom rom. :victory:

# Option Two, :silly:
download original samsung version of our N7000, :p
1. Download it here, search for n7000 ;)
2. Put into odin v1.85, and reboot into recovery wipe everything, :silly:
3. Reboot. :victory:

I'm sure (and assumed), you're experience about all of this, as it already been mention here by my friend @tysonraylee, :highfive::victory:

thanks to them, we manage to get through, :victory: :victory: :victory:
sorry for the repeated question .. thank you for the best solution:highfive:

Are you guys using raw kernel or the kernel included with the ROM? I don't seem to get a decent battery life. I have the original Samsung battery. Bought it about 10-11 months back.

Thanks

Alpha 7.1 Build

I would like to share my experience about this rom. I am very happy with Alpha 7.1 version. Phone is working smooth and fast. Battery life is also good. Below is what I did during the installation,

1) Go to Recovery. I was having CM11 installed so it was CM11 based CWM recovery.
2) Wipe Data
3) Wipe Cache
4) Wipe Dalvik Cache
5) Format System
6) Format Data
7) Format Cache
8) Flash Alpha 7.1
9) Flash GApps
10) Flash Bauner's CWM Recovery ready kernel. Its very important step to get working CWM Recovery. The link to download this recovery is,

http://www.mediafire.com/?k36izdwm6jqizg1

This link is present on one of the posts from Google+ Page of the ROM.

11) Reboot into Recovery. I got prompt for Fix Root Permission. I said yes to fix the issue. Recovery started again.
12) Now reboot system. It will take around 15 to 20 minutes during first boot. So please be patient.
13) I first thought memory might create issues but I did not get any issues related to SD Card (internal or external memory).

Now something about issues which I faced,
==========================
1) Video Recording not working
==========================
According to XDA post, I installed OnePlusOne camera apk and then installed VLC media player from Play Store. Video recording working ok now for me. Below is the post from this thread which helped me...

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=57489892&postcount=932

======================
2) Continuous Reboots.
======================
I was facing Continuous REBOOT issues. I logged in to google account and installed apps from playstore too. All was working good. Then I switched off my phone for around 10 minutes. When I started the phone back following issues started,

a) pressing the power button reboots the phone.
b) screen timeout was set to 30 seconds. Once 30 seconds are over, phone automatically reboots. In short, continuous reboots.

The solution for this issue is present on one of the posts from Google+ Page of the ROM. Below is the solution...

you need to only let wifi on for moment if you've decided to reboot,
after you've reboot, you can wait for few second > then lock your screen > unlock back > turn off wifi > you'll done, no more reboot.

==========================================
3) Internal SD Card Not shown under storage settings
==========================================
I first thought Internal SD Card is inaccessible as I could not find that under settings. But it was not the case. ES File Explorer correctly detected that. I was even able to transfer data to desktop and copy data from desktop to internal and external SD Cards for my phone.

I am now using the ROM since last 2 days without any issues. It feels like I will be using it as a daily driver. Thanks to Bauner for such amazing work. Three cheers !!!

Using raw kernel. Getting good battery life. Miscellaneous takes about 40-45% battery ,but still Getting 3-3.5 hrs screen on time with WiFi always on. Disable 'scanning always available' and 'network notification' in WiFi >advanced .
Also disable G+ if you don't use it.
