do u guys have troubles with low memory ? should i repartition /data to 6gb using a pit file ? or u have any other solution :d ?
If by low memory you mean space to install more apps i would recommend it. I did it a few days ago and now finally i can install as many apps as i want without worrying about size of my data partition.

I had the same issue but I cleared the data of FB application from Settings>Apps, then rebooted to recovery and wiped cache. I then installed the latest version from the play store (v24.0.0.30.15) and it's working fine now. First time you run the FB app, let it run for as long as it requires (up to a minute or two). Hope this solves it for you guys.
I have tried it on beta1 but it did not fix the problem..will try on beta2 as well and will report back.

Have been using beta2 since yesterday and found it a little lag (as expected for a beta) but have two issues that have only appeared since I started using the lollipop builds ...

- can't set any Twitter notificaitons. Using the official Twitter app, and if I try to change the Twitter notifications from the app it just says error can't change them. App problem, or lollipop issue ? Anyone else have the problem?

- is there supposed to be a setting for general notifications to switch on the screen? I hear the phone make a noise but it doesn't switch on the screen. Should this be handled by lollipop, or do I need a specific app to enable it?

Awesome work to get it here on Galaxy note though. Well done !

yes, I have the zip archive called "Root_SuperSU.0.96"
but the problem is that I can flash it ONLY through recovery, but I can't have access to recovery, and
accessing through "download mode" using Odin,
it asks me a .md5 extension file to upload it through PDA mode, not a zip extension file.

How can I root through Odin downloading mode?

I hope my english is good enough, sir.
Please try to get your phone to get into download mode first. Check this video first!!!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHC-8cDxeeI

You do that by pressing the 3 buttons(Home+power+ vol DOWN). You will get a message to press VOl UP to get into download mode.
Once in download mode, connect phone to PC running windows via USB cable, wait for the device to get detected(you will have to have installed the USB drivers first, in windows) by windows and then run odin.
in odin you select the .md5 file which is got by extracting the .zip file that you would have downloaded from sammobile or other website.

You do not need to root your phone to restore it back to original factory settings(like it was when you bought it). Once you have finished flashing the .md5 file, the phone will automatically reboot and you will realise that its back to stock condition.
Once the phone has been revived this way, proceed to boot into recovery(home+power+power UP) and then flash raw kernel r8 beta2, reboot to recovery, flash nightowl beta 2 and then the corresponding gapps and you are good to go

Hope this helps

Ok got it thanks,
now I'm back to stock 4.1.2
the problem was that starting not from 4.4.4 I needed a proper Kernel, fitable for people like me starting from firware stock 4.1.2.

Now I download and save on micro sd-external the r8 kernel beta from GeeckoDev,
after that I will the 3 files on the external micro-sd (rom+gapps+proper kernel r8).

And u say,
reboot in recovery,
all wipes,
FLASH BEFORE KERNEL
and then flash ROM e and gapps.

Looking good?

reboot to recovery, factory wipe, flash r8 kernel, flash rom (+gapps if needed).

another thing to mention: this rom is beta. it may be unstable and is potentially dangerous to your data. as far as i used the rom it is very stable, but i see myself as an experienced user (5y android) and so do a lot of the others here. just sayin'.

THank you very much,

so u mean I just need 1 wipe "Wipe data/Factory reset",
and then start to flash beginning from Kernel before, and then ROM e gapps.

Correct?

hello can someone tell me about the performance of the lollipop roms in general? Because the Samsung's stock jellybean rom lags too much that I couldn't bear it anymore, and even cm11 (KitKat) and its derivatives lag. Lollipop looks very heavy to be carried by our Note. Please tell me if you have experienced this or any other Lollipop rom.

If you're into JB Roms, try using Aryamod v8, and Forest's Kernel, you'll experience a drastic increase in performance, speed and smoothness. Not mention stability. Well, LP is still in beta, there are still flaws and bugs, but of course, our awesome developers are working into it, just be patient and thankful for their work. :D

Yes, that's what I did when the overheating problems made CM11 unusable - but the temptation to check out the NightOwl CM12 was too much . .

I am thankful for their work but unfortunately the overheating and battery drain problems that have been getting worse since cm9 are still there with cm12 so it looks like I will have to go back to Aryamod again . . If I could work out definitively what causes these problems, maybe I could find a work around and stick with CM12? However, the only way the phone stays cool is if I leave it in sleep mode and only use it for phone calls and texting - as soon as I turn on WiFi or do anything else it starts heating up . . is it just the multi-tasking improvements that are causing the problems? Would an app that throttles the CPUs help? Also, I thing there might be a vicious circle going on - when it gets hot, it causes other problems which causes the CPU to get hotter?

Thanks,
Phil.

From my experience the battery drain gets better after a couple of days with this ROM. It takes a good 24 hours to settle in.

I have also used trickster mod to limit the Max CPU to 1.2ghz which should ease your overheating worries
