Thanks for the reply....I wonder whats the difference b/w the fix from Lanchon and zeitferne. Are they both fixing the same problem in two different ways? or they are fixing to different issues? Is there any plan to merge zeitferne fix in the kernel in future?

zeitferne is fixing the problem one level deeper

The gapps link is fixed.

To update from beta2 you nee only to flash
beta3 and gapps
there is no need to wipe anything

I was on 4.1.2 stock...
I tried to install the beta2,
I did all wipes before and then
via recovery I flash first the kernel "Forest-LP-Kernel_V1_for_Beta2.zip"....
is it normal than the recovery mode show me "signature verification failed" trying to flash the kernel?

if it's no problem I will continue flashing the ROM beta2.....

Do you have cwm recovery or do you use the samsung stock recovery?

if you have cwm recovery you can disable signature verification to flash the kernel.

You need an kernel with cwm recovery 6+ to flash this rom.

In order to flash where do I copy the rom and gapps files ?? To my internal device or the memory card?

I am on stock rooted JB 4.1.2 with stock recovery ... so I read in above post I will have to flash via cwm philz kernal first ... am I right?

please where is in the menu the option to to "disable signature verifications"?

maybe --> Advanced --> fix permission?

installa zip -->
toggle signature verifications--> click on it
and then in the end of the screen u will see "SIGNATURE CHECK : DISABLED".

than come back and install....

selinux is disabled in my kernel atm.
because it was not fully merged in the early cm12 source.

In future it will be enabled again

the zeitferne fix is newer and not so well tested atm

an beta 3 comes later today with fixes for the wifi enabling bug, working offmode charging and an kernel with Lanchon's FP-bug fix

This a really great news, after living for years now with FP-bug, this is a big new start for our device, great job! Big Thanks!

some report on beta3:

-repartition for a 6gb datastorage
-factory resetted, wiped and formatted
-flashed beta3, boot is fast and flawless
-see, that everything works fine, wlan and offmodeanimation, too.
-flashed gapps, wiped cache and dalvic
-reboot, let it settle
-reboot in recovery and backup apps with TB-zip

you can put it on internal or external sd it does not matter.

first you need to flash an kernel with cwm 6 based recovery included to flash this rom.

you can flash an kernel with odin, mobile odin ((or with heimdall) only for experienced users)

did you rebooted into the new recovery after flashing the kernel?

if you try to flash this rom with an cwm5 based recovery you will get this error.
