Can someone share download link to some kernel that works well with the build or at least something to test?

Stock kernel doesn't let a battery to charge.

I flashed Xceed available on Mi4c board but it's not tailored for the build and as a result there is no Wifi, camera and there are some other minor problems.

Cheers,
W
its not kernel's problem / fault, maybe you do something wrong, try reflash rom with clean wipe
mine's working fine

I'm using a QuickCharge port on my Anker charger and most of the time when I first plug the phone it says "normal charge", then after I unplug it and plug again it says "quick charge". Did anyone else get such behaviour?

Yup. It does that on my aukey QC battery. No rhyme or reason to it. Never does it when using the factory (or any aftermarket) QC wall chargers. Kinda weird.

My battery drain is huge on this rom. The device wont last more then a day even when 90% on sleep mode. Bluetooth is constatly turning itself on when screen is off (i've disabled localisation through wifi and bluetooth but it did not help).
Is there anyway to optimize this ? Why this BT is turning itself on ?

I've got one bug that happened already three times, ie. when making a call, the phone freezes with phone interface on screen. I can make the call then, but after that the only way is to keep power button until the phone resets. Happened twice just after flashing so I did another dalvik and cache wipe but it's back
TS 31122016 release, dirty flashed (just dalvik and cache wipe done) over previous release. I'll have to do a clean flash in my spare time

I have similar issues in the first two weeks (2-3 times). But in the last weeks I had no such problems.

I just experienced the same bug today after clean flashing this ROM. Not happy :( Hope it never comes back.

20161231 build has quite good battery life. I'm getting 48 hours with 2 hours SOT, dual SIM, wifi+data+bluetooth+sync on all the time. So far, call bug has not come back.

Teamsuperluminal's CyanogenMod 13 vs ASIP 12.1

I'm currently using Teamsuperluminal's CyanogenMod 13. Did anyone also try ASIP 12.1 or RR? Is one of them more stable than CM 13 (especially WIFI and phone calls)?

for me due to the outgoing call bug the 20161231 release was unusable - my phone was freezing at least once everyday while making calls
I flashed previous release (20161007) over 20161231 and it the bug was gone, but the battery was significantly worse; I restored boot partition from my 31122016 backup, the boot was faster but still not so good battery backup.
So I made a flashable zip with phone.apk, dialer.apk and stk.apk from the 20161007 release, restored my 20161231 backup and flashed the three apks over it - I've been running it for four days now and seems the call bug is gone. In case anybody wants to try my fix, there's the link to flashable zip: https://www.dropbox.com/s/rqiqxtwn2omt5bp/phone_contacts_simtoolkit.zip?dl=0

btw. I believe the bug is somehow related to your service provider and/or sim card- my wife is running another mi4c with 20161231 TS CM, but different provider, and it happened to her only once and never got back

I'm now on AICP, it's ok, fast, better battery life. I have no problems with WiFi (some people have). There are (were) also problems with AUO display. You should search about them, if you have it.

Never tried RR, new versions lock bootloader.

Mi4C AICP12.1

I'm coming from RR 5.8.2, its honestly an amazing rom but the GPS issue and the battery (not displaying the right percentage left) was a real blocker for me.

Also yes the new version locking the new bootloader but easy to unlock it again via Miunlock with official code.

Came back to CM13.1, and its doing great.

After playing around with mixer_paths.xml in /system/etc for a long time, I finally figured out how to boost in-call volume through earpiece AND speaker. Change these values:

<path name="speaker-mono">
<ctl name="SLIM RX1 MUX" value="AIF1_PB" />
<ctl name="SLIM_0_RX Channels" value="One" />
<ctl name="RX7 MIX1 INP1" value="RX1" />
<ctl name="COMP0 Switch" value="1" />
<ctl name="RX7 Digital Volume" value="84" />

<path name="voice-handset">
<ctl name="SLIM RX1 MUX" value="AIF1_PB" />
<ctl name="SLIM_0_RX Channels" value="One" />
<ctl name="RX1 MIX1 INP1" value="RX1" />
<ctl name="CLASS_H_DSM MUX" value="DSM_HPHL_RX1" />
<ctl name="RDAC3 MUX" value="DEM2" />
<ctl name="DAC1 Switch" value="1" />
<ctl name="EAR PA Gain" value="POS_6_DB" />
<ctl name="RX1 Digital Volume" value="84" />

I am using "88" for both now and it's good for me; close to MIUI stock level.
