Hey guys, I looked through the forum but there is something that I don't understand : is there actually Hybrid Data2SD on 10.6 ? Because I have my old partition from 9.7 and I don't know if it still can be used or not.

Thanks.

I lost my phone couple of days ago, and I found in old box a Galaxy 3 to use as spare. I managed to sim-unlock it via nv_data.bin hex edit, and to root it and I installed this rom - unfortunatelly it doesnt work for me. Issues:

1. Play store response is super slow. It acts as if something on Playstore is hogging RAM to the point of unusable. DL speed is ok, install takes 5 minutes for 500kb app

2. WiFi trouble - constanlty disconnects from WiFi and then "scaning..."

3. Smoothness - at least 50% slower response in scrolling than stock rom.

I retraced my steps and repeated the install and same problems all over again. I used ODIN one package install

Hello everybody!

Dev-Host, the storage provider I used to host my ROM's, is down, and I don't have any backup available to re-upload. Could somebody kind enough check if by any chance still has a backup of v10.6? Odin or zip.

Thanks in advance

Here you go:

Are you still using the G3? I still do, it's still my everyday phone. It'll turn 7 by the end of this month and will receive a new digitizer (screen glass), a new backside and a new battery. ;)

You're welcome ;)

Yeah, as I said. I still use it everyday, it's my main phone. It's running on marcells CM7.2 MTD port with the 1Ghz kernel. And since the clock issue 2 years ago, I had no other issues. Well, sometimes the wifi won't start on the first try and the bluetooth won't turn on after some days with no reboot. But that's it. Right now, the phone has 1230 hours of uptime. So it's still capable of running :victory:

My phone is free of Google services. I use F-Droid as my app store. But over the last years it got harder to find apps that still run on Gingerbread. With quite a few I'm stuck at the last version that supported Android 2.3: Telegram, K9-Mail, OsmAnd (yes, it's slow, but it runs). I also have an old HTC Sensation from a friend (with Android 4.4) with a half-working screen that I use for apps that need a more recent version of Android.

Let's hope for some more years!

Wow! That's amazing!
I myself got a Nexus 6P but my G3 is still in working condition and I still use it as a backup phone from time to time.
@kyrillos13, how goes everything?
You still into development?

Happy new year fellas.

I want to get this phone rommed again but my laptop doesn't recognise my phone when I connect it. Want to flash via Odin, I have all the files. Anyone got any ideas why this might be? No SD card but I'm sure all the correct drivers are installed on my laptop

That's strange.
I would suggest uninstalling the drivers from Device Manager and reconnect the device.

A bit late reply, but better late than never! I don't have any real motive for "developing" because Lineage OS was perfect for me and android is a lot more mature than it was in our G3 days. Recently, I bought Xiaomi Mi A1 and I am pretty impressed by it. Android One, Magisk, Xposed... Who needs a modded stock rom nowadays anyway ^^

Now I am getting into Android app developing. I earned a scholarship for "Android Developer Nanodegree" from Udacity & Google and I am actively trying to learn a lot!!

It could be a cable issue, if not drivers.

I think its the right choice to be Google Play Services free. A lot of years have passed and the phone could hardly run the services and newest versions of the apps :D

That's nice, looking forward to the apps you make. :)
