new to the Defy

i am getting a stock defy today. I want to flash this ROM to it but am unsure of what to do.

Any advice on how to take my stock Defy (2.1) to White rabbit 1.6 would be appreciated.

I have read the Beginners guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1216982)

1. do i need to update to a 2.2 Froyo official first before flashing Whiterabbit?
2. What kernel do i flash before installing the rom?

yes you should
so update to froyo, youll find many versions on the forum, root, then install custom recovery, then with it wipe data and cache and then install this great rom. The installation offers you a wipe, i do it before just in case.

Tks for sharing, I'm using defy+ wth BL7, but if some one hv same problem of:
- Go launcher not work itself --> have to install another as additional, then it's ok?!
- It's denied while trying activate Root Explorer in ES Explorer?!

even if you using ADW Launcher or ICS Holo Launcher you don't give a **** for this new UPLOAD, but you have to remember that ICS Launcher and ADW Launcher are switched in AROMA Installation. So if you choose ADW you will install ICS Holo and the other way round.

latest 1.6+ with full wipe: after 4 reboots (by myself), now i have old bootmenu (1.1.0)
