JB_Design (bad)

When I try to install the JB_Desing update ZIP file, I get an error due to a bad file and the installation is aborted. It worked in both the previous betas.

Also the ES File Explorer was not installed although chosen for installation.

I recommend all the time a FULL Wipe, maybe this solves for most of you some problems.

BUT

1. I will look into Es File Explorer, maybe I got an sort number wrong in Aroma
2. JB_Design.zip should work, I tried it yesterday for sure. But if not just look into UpdateME you will find it there also, and hopefully this should work.
3. Yeah I know Defy Version will come. But right now I have a Defy+ with which I can work and as long the Version isn't perfect I don't wanna try to mod it for Defy. I can't handle too many bugs at once.

BUT

As I checked all files and as I will make one Rom, which will copy some special Defy files, this means that if the Defy+ Version is perfect, the Defy should be also.

I did use the Full-Wipe option, yet another thing - after using the Update Me app once, then restarting the phone for some reason I lost the different options in the Update Me app - there are only 4 options : ROM, Installed aps, Scripts, and Settings. Why is so?

Also, I am unable to resize widgets for the first time now which is very strange - can anyone confirm? Or could it be due to restoring the ADW launcher Ex with Titanium Backup - backed up when using beta 2?

On the other hand - bluetooth in my car is working flawlessly now.

And of course - this ROM is close to perfect otherwise :good:

wouldn't recommend restoring ADW Launcher Ex settings, as this isn't the normal ADW Launcher I think. It is the ADW Launcher from the Market, not the normal one from the standard CM.

and about UpdateME, I have to look, because usually this means I screwed up the code in the updateme file on the server, and if one komma is too much it doesn't show anything in update me.

Nice rom TweetyPeety!!

I'm using now the version 1.5.4 in defy+ and i'm deciding if i'm going to install the 1.8 or wait for the v2.0...

Anyway, good job!

1. I have the ES bug also, and the standard clock is not installed(when i want to set an alarm i can't) i had to download a separate app, also half an hour ago i turned off my phone for my exam and now it is reporting that my sd card is corrupted and i need to reformat :(.

2. I should mention that when u install beats audio the ring loudness is noticeably quieter(i dont know if that is an bug or standard feature of beats audio).

3. I have one request if it can be done, the google play is realy slow alot of the times and i can recall that couple months ago with some other rom gapps MINI/LITE was installed, now that market was blazing fast in comparison to every other and i dont have to reboot sometimes my phone so the app would start downloading.

I finally got fed up and went back to 1.71. 1.8 has been really unstable and I got tired of waiting. The good news is that 1.71 was very solid so I have plenty of patience now. :good:

Eh, 1 not so solid version - not too bad really: you're still doing much better than Microsoft!

If I can suggest something. If you're working on ics/jb settings style and other apps like phone, messages etc., could you make them with fully black background like in thyrusholo black style, I really don't like this blueish background style of Android 4.0+?
But it's only my opinion ...

That is not possible, than you have done something wrong. Try full wope

Send from my SGS 2
Strange, I always do a FW, I even formatted data a and cache myself before installing with the FW Aroma option. Nevermind, if no one else experienced it, it was just sume strange culprit... and I must say ... still no problems so far.

I will look into it, but I haven't changed anything with Gapps. But a User at the German Community said the same. HATE IT, never gets perfect. Also some Users the Music App isn't installed, hate it.

Maybe I will do it differently and put everything into the Rom and let Aroma delete files instead of copying files.

That sound as an interesting idea.

And, by the way, close to perfect is the only realistic goal, I guess, and I would say you already got there... thank you for it.
