When you turn off the hybrid bar just reboot the phone and the navigation bar is gone

Hi Owain, first I want to congratulate for work. I have problem when I go select the widget and with some apps (facebook, dolphin, XDA) When I rotate screen the app freeze.

Do you have any solution for this?

Thank you Owain, the reboot i could never have guessed but probably noticed sooner or later.

I can recommend turning offer hybrid bar, my phone is snappy again. Thanks for your great work. Been using your rom from day 1.

Question for anybody, ice cream related. Is there no way to use two languages (spelling) any longer. I can only pick one, swedish or English, want both. And I like standard keyboard.

My father had the same question.. he lives in Thai land now so I put a different keyboard on his phone its called slide it.. then downloaded the language pack he needed and he can type in English and Thai switching between the two from the keyboard.. hope this helps

2011 Xperia No Jelly Bean Update, No ICS For LG Optimus 2X and Black

Sony (previously Sony Ericsson) has bad news about Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for 2011 Xperia handset owners. LG Optimus owners also have their share of heartbreaking news on Google’s Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

Sony earlier announced that its 2011 Xperia handsets will receive an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandiwch, albeit a little late on the delivery. Now it has revealed that its Xperia arc S and Xperia mini pro devices will not get an official Android Jelly Bean treatment.

John Cooper, UK Product Manager for Sony Mobile, answered questions on Sony UK’s official Facebook page that the arc S and mini pro will not receive an Android 4.1 update. Cooper, however, did not mention if other models will get the upgrade.

The handsets have similar chipsets, with the former having an overclocked processor, which highly suggests that the entire 2011 Xperia lineup will pass on Android Jelly Bean.

With regards to 2012 Xperia handsets, Cooper said Sony is still going over handsets that are “the best for the Jelly Bean update” and promised it will announce its decision on Facebook once finished.

If no Jelly Bean is heartbreaking for 2011 Xperia owners, LG Canada also has one for LG Optimus 2X and Optimus Black: no official Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The dual-core LG Optimus 2X was likely to receive Ice Cream Sandwich during the second quarter but was later on moved to the third quarter, while the Optimus Black was originally set to receive ICS this third quarter. Things have gone for the worst as ICS for both is now off the list in Canada.

On a positive note, the statement sent through tweets did not make it clear if this is a global announcement so keep your fingers crossed that you will not get stuck on Gingerbread.

I installed this ROM today and it looks really good. Just a question regarding signal. I'm in my coverage zone, but it keeps showing the ROAMING signal. I'm worried i will get roaming charges for using my phone. Is there a way to fix it or should i not worry?

Check if bb and ril are matching with get ril (app) and to be sure you are using right 10 ril

Looks like it's the end of the line for the O2X. At this point expecting any upgrade from LG is just wishful thinking. We're two major OS versions ahead, and LG has already deployed both new devices _and_ ICS roms, with not even a wink the O2X's way.

A pity, because the hardware is more than capable and it'd have a lot of life left with the proper support. Just seeing what people like Owain can do without said support is clear proof of that.

It wasn't initially matching, but after getting the RIL app, it downloaded the right one and matched it for me. Still have that "Roaming" signal show up. I wouldn't mind it as long as it doesn't screw something up with my phone carrier and charge me for roaming when im not.

Check system settings - about phone - status. What does it say about Network?
