I cannot install this ROM on my Nokia 6.1 TA-1089.
Everytime I try to flash the zip, it gives me an error loading the file from the SD card.
I backed up everything before flashing this ROM and wiped the partitions mentioned, but when I tried to restore it back It didn't went well, the restore was unsuccessful.
I had to install the stock rom all over again and then updated it to the latest pie.
Time wasted.

This is probably an issue on your side rather than with the ROM.

Did you try flashing from your Internal Storage, rather than from your SD Card?

Which TWRP version were you using?

EDIT: Discovered the issue here was that I should not be flashing TWRP, only booting to it via:

fastboot boot recovery.img

As pointed out in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80176282&postcount=152

Original post:

I posted a similar question in the TWRP thread, but maybe this is a better place to ask. I'm having issues getting AEX 6.6 to boot on my Nokia 6 (2018) TA-1045. I can get it to boot to AEX, but after first boot, if I flash Gapps, it will get fail to boot and hang on the splash screen. Below are the exact steps I followed:

fastboot --set-active=a
fastboot flash boot recovery.img
fastboot reboot-recovery

# Wipe -> Data, cache, and Dalvik
# Connect to PC
# Copy AospExtended-v6.6-PL2-20190702-1102-OFFICIAL.zip to Internal Storage
# Copy vendor.img (from pl2_community_vendor_r1.zip) to Internal Storage
# Copy open_gapps-arm64-9.0-nano-20190831.zip to Internal Storage
# Install -> Install Zip -> AospExtended-v6.6-PL2-20190702-1102-OFFICIALzip
# Clear Dalvik cache
# Install Image
# Install -> Install Image -> vendor.img to Vendor Image
# Reboot bootloader

fastboot --set-active=b
fastboot flash boot recovery.img
fastboot reboot-recovery

# Wipe -> Data, cache, and Dalvik
# Install -> Install Zip -> AospExtended-v6.6-PL2-20190702-1102-OFFICIAL.zip
# Clear Dalvik cache
# Install -> Install Image -> vendor.img to Vendor Image
# Reboot -> System

At this point, the system boots into TWRP no matter how many times I reboot or shutdown the phone. I finally found an option in TWRP for Advanced -> Fix Recovery Bootloop. After that, it started trying to boot AEX, but it sits at the splash screen (AEX with the circle animating) forever, by which I mean, at least 30 minutes. I tried to be patient, but surely that's not normal?

Anyone know what I might have done wrong?

OK, got it booting. Almost everything except NFC is working for me right now. This will again need a separate flashable vendorimage (community vendor v2 maybe) as there are heck load of changes need to done to have it booting. Might not be needed once official stock arrives. I will release this build after a few optimizations updates. Also as this is booting, assume OmniROM 10 as also booted.

Great job ! I'm quite surprised to see that most 10 roms that are released for other phones are already quite stable, seems to be the same with our Nokia since only NFC's broken on your build. Can't wait to try this one :)

    I guess there is nothing wrong in reading facts!

    -Base Of the ROM & Version?
    ->Rom is based on AOSP.

    -Why no "Incremental/Delta updates" Support?
    ->Actually the updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuff is merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend a clean flash.

    -Does this ROM Support Substratum?
    ->Yes, full Substratum support!

    -Which Gapps are recommended?

    -How do I root this ROM?
    ->We recommend Magisk

    -Will this ROM relock the bootloader?

    -What about XPOSED?
    ->XPOSED is still in beta stage. We like Xposed but it messes up with the system so before giving any bug reports make sure you have Xposed uninstalled.

    -When Will Be the Next Update?
    ->No ETAs, please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready by your maintainer. We generally provide monthly updates with latest security patches and new features.

    -I am facing FCs, Bugs, Some feature is broken?
    ->Provide full info about your problem with logcat and the procedure to reproduce it.

    Initially I had some issues with the sim not being detected and when it was detected I could not place and receive calls (SMS reception was working, sending untested).
    Now with another try I haven't experienced any sim issues so far but as mentioned earlier in this thread, Bluetooth audio is not working.
    Apart from that, I really like the ROM and its features!

    Edit: I do seem to have an issue with microg and unifiednlp (not supported by system) but that may not be ROM related...

    Bluetooth audio is a known issue. Needs me to copy blobs from stock. Also, separate builds with MicroG and GAPPS are planned to avoid flashing issues at all (and for me to enable dm-verity). I will do these in the next release.
    Pushed July Security Patch updates with bunch load of kernel changes. Detailed changelog is on website and for more details, check commit history in repos.
    I have nuked Adaptive Low Memory Killer added by QCOM in kernel (present in Stock ROMs). This was causing aggressive application killings. Also I have enabled CPU Input Boost.
    Bottom line is Performance is improved (remember it costs battery and it takes time for adaptive battery to learn your usage), Idle drain is almost 0% for me since past few days during tests (use with aggressive battery).

    NFC and Manual Network selection will have to wait. I will also do one more ROM i.e. MokeeROM. It gives nightly updates and everything is done automatically once setup is done properly. That might delay few things. Other than that, enjoy!
    Pushed new Update (AospExtended-v6.6-PL2-20190624-1234-OFFICIAL). Grab it from official website.
