i keep getting stuck in the boot animation

i updated my recovery already

i was already on PA 4.x .. and this morning i got a notification saying an update was available on Paranoid OTK .. flashed the file that just stuck at boot animation so i flashed my backup.

should i wipe the phone before installing?

Yes you need a clean install.

I don't think so. even if you backup it might not work coz lollipop is a huge update. Titanium backup restoring wont work either.
Also it would be better if you clean install it to get a better performance.
Then too you can test it out.

yea i will start it from clean im downloading the gapps now

last question im on kit kat this will still funtion as it should ,correct?

Its not the same as kitkat. Its changed a lot. Both are good at their own level.
Also the current lollipop aospa has less features. But won't be the same in future as features will be added.
Also if you don't like and don't want to use it then you can restore the nandroid backup of kitkat. No issues with that.

aghh it looks so good but now after optimizing the apps this message comes up "Unfortunatly Setup Wizard has stopped" any suggestions?

i have the single sim moto e from US and i have the lastest TWRP and still getting this problem.. any help? also i am flashing the first Gapps listed by the op , any idea wat the problem is?

Seems it's an issue with single sim device. Earlier also a guy reported for this issue.
For you try to delete the setup wizard app from twrp and try it.
May be you can get the logs for strix.

hmm can u tell me how to delete the wizard setup ? im back on my previous version now but id give anything a shot

also im downloading another gapp incase that was the problem im downloading *Slim_normal_gapps.BETA.5.1.build.0.x-20150516.zip* to try .

Try Deltadroid gapps,
To delete SetupWizard
Goto twrp
Mount-check system
Goto advanced - file manager
Goto root folder-system-prv-app
Delete SetupWizard

guy i have another problem.. now it wont install apks ive downloaded (1mobile maket etc) and ive allowed apk from unknow sources and have developer options enabled .. anyhelp?

UPDATE!!: FIXED .. i used a app form playstore called apk installer

Lock screen freezes and only option is to do a reboot.
And ask option for phone calls make phone reboot too,apart from these two bugs ROM is awesome,pure aosp stock love.
