New to this site and new to programming cellphones - trying to get a newly purchased Note 3 up and running. Bought as a Sprint device, boots as Sprint - under settings the IMEI does not match the HEX/DEC MEID - activated with Ringplus, when using dialer it says its Verizon Wireless - I'm assuming the phone was cloned to Verizon prepaid.
Want to use Odin to restore the phone per the thread "[ROM][ODIN] SM-N900P NC5 (NC5 Modem/Kernel/Bootloader/ROM - Full Restore - Unrooted)"
This phone states the software version is N900PVPUBMJ4 which is supposed to be a KitKat version - however, the phone also shows the Android version is 5.0 (Lollipop).
Should I see any issues going about using Odin to install the NC5 version?
POSTSCRIPT - Ran the Odin setup above - phone upgraded just fine to NC5 - however, the MEID that was cloned onto this phone is still there and the phone is still tied to Verizon.
IS there a particular method that can be used to change the MEID back to the Sprint original value?
Excuse my ignorance on this - I had posted on the RingPlus forum a couple of weeks ago and struck out there - hoping I can get this figured out over here!
