Hello. Tried to download the file (v 7). Got a 235mb zip file. Is it right? The download initially talked about 404mb. Presently on a stock lb1 cf rooted device. Should I just flash as an update through cwm ? Or an install zip? Thank u for any advice.

I downloaded the file again and it came to the right size. Went for an flash zip from sd card. Every thing went well. Thank u for this update. Really cool cause i still don't feel ready for the ics move. Will check first for facebook agenda and contacts sync, real jkay adaptation, real system optimization and so on....

You can flash any modem, both GB and ICS. Personally, I find lb1/2 (at your choice) the best options. And, to add, I tested all modems up to LR1 (ICS modem), then I went back to LB2

Where did my storage go Galaxy Note

I am using this ROM on my Galaxy Note. After downloading my normal apps I tried to move them to SD and I get an error message stating "unable to move app. Not enough storage space"

Device memory shows: 1.6GB used
401MB Free

I have a 64GB SD card which has backups and media and the device can see and read and write to the SD Card.

When I look under settings and storage it says:

device memory:
Total space 1.97GB

Applications 1.56GB

Available : 295MB

USB Storage

Total space 11.07GB
Applications 162MB
Pictures, videos 190MB
Audio 9.31 MB
Miscellaneous files: 9.15GB
Available 6.78GB

SD Card

Total space 59.36GB
Available: 54.14

Can someone tell me why I am getting that error about not enough space. I don't understand. Is there a safe mod I can make so that I get more storage. Please assist.

i'm dying to flash it on my Note becuz i have the G-Note and my SGS III came today and it is just too dang small.

I'm going to return it, i can't handle the tiny screen size (i know, i know, i read there is no going back after having the G-Note but i was hopeful i might be able to since the SGS iii seemed soooo great) but i love soooo many things about it and would love to flash Criskelo rOM but i am so confused and so afraid to brick. I rooted and flashed CMR so i could do Nandroid b/ups but i really don't know too much.

I'm confused, from all i read, am i correct that we cannot flash an ICS ROM w/o flashing a new ICS (like Abyss) kernel? If i flash Abyss kernel, flash Criskelo and then hate it or find it not as stable as stock, can i just use a Gingerbread nandroid backup, or do i have to flash a GB kernel FIRST?

And if answer is yes i need to flash a ICS kernel, can u steer me near one? And also where do i find Criskelo v7?

Don't worry, i will be donating, i soooo appreciate all the work and testing & time that goes into this : )

Ok let me explain you how i came to iCS criskelo woth best battery life

1. make sure you are on GB with full root.
2. download alliance ROM base of ICS...it is XXLPY with data image empty for safer purposes...i know its pain to flash, but this is how you will be safe on ICS
3. Put the XXLPY tar file ROM on SD card
4. Use mobile odin and point to this file by selecting wipe data and inject everoot and also superuser and then flash firmware
5. After flashing you will be on XXLPY stock ROM with full root
6. enter in to recovery and make four wipes (data, cache and dalvik and battery stats)
7. flash the criskelo ics v7.

I would like know whether the exisiting kernel is better or any other custom kernel such as franco or speedmod is better. How to flash? Secondly which is the file for Golden theme for criskelo rom and how to flash the same. your suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

you can download the same from thems & apps and about golden theme...just copy the same in sd card and flash using the recovery without wiping anythng

Why do I get told forbidden when I try to access the Samsung apps not on the ROM, when IM using it and have used the previous version. My gave ROM by the way ,xcept the kernel use it with hydro.

Indeed, I do intend on moving to Ice Cream Sandwich, but I have one last custom Gingerbread firmware to try, CheckROM NoteHD v6.


Since this firmware does not have the call recording feature and its development thread was closed, I am eager to know if I can use the said feature from CriskeloRomNOTE v7?
