Major issue is the status bar bug which causes device freeze with black screen. After waiting few sec or mins, device starts working again but sometimes, we need force reboot. However its a CM bug which is present in all CM11 ROMs out there.

ps never had status bar bug...only had sometimes the screen that doesn't wake up but stays black when I unlock it, although the soft buttons lit up. Also had the annoying problem sometimes when after locking the screen, I unlock it, the screen lits up regularly but the touchscreen doesn't work, so I cannot actually unlock it through swyping the screen lock combination...maybe it's an issue related to default screen undervolting in CM... I don't know)

It's not that undervolting, that's exactly what the "status bar bug" is. It's actually a bug leading to systemui crash.

With 20140506 nightly build :
in 480p , video recording -> OK
then select 720p, video recording -> OK
then select 1080p, get FC

I need to reboot the phone to get camera start without FC.
1080p setting is steel here.
video recording in 1080p -> OK!

I'm surprised being the only one with the camera FC.
I Tried with a fresh & clean install of 20140513 nightly build without gapps : same symptoms.

How to reproduce :
- start camera app (cam.android.camera2),
- switch on videocam,
- go into settings (video quality is 1080p by default).
- change quality to 480p + back key -> OK
- go into settings,
- change quality to 720p + back key -> OK
- go into settings,
- change quality to 1080p + back key -> get FC

After that I can't start camera app without FC even after clearing cache & data of cam.android.camera2.
Only a reboot cured the problem.

That was a old bug which sultanxda fixed it in r52.5 Kernel{*Removed CRT hack used for Android 4.1}.
And albinoman887 also fixed in his ROM Jan 15 (Reverted CRT hack for 4.1 (credit: android1234567) .
But i dont know that bug was back

This kind of response shall not be tolerated. Developers like albinom, Sultan, Sebastian etc. put in crucial hours of their life into development. They just do it so that the still capable old phones can run new OS.

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think CM comes with color control. There's third party apps for that.

Hey all. Status bar and video camera seem to work in nightly 20th. Status bar crash is definitely gone and filming works. Bugs with nightly 20th are camera apps crash regularly, particularly default camera. This may be just me though. Video camera takes ages to start filming. When I have time I will give event logs

Also not sure but if there is a difference, not seeing it.

Maybe your brightness has changed or your not used to auto or something. Or maybe you need a brighter background. Idk. There's another guess for ya.

same background two different phones, the samsung is much brighter then the htc.

That's like comparing apples to pears, it is LCD vs AMOLED. No wonder the colors look darker.
However, the "darker" colors are more realistic since they are not oversaturated like on Samsung screens.

If i were to look at the picture on the computer it looks like the samsung so how can it be over saturated?
