Because almost all screens show colors more saturated since the image then "pops".
ok that did not make no sense. for one computers have way better graphics, both of my monitors are running at 1080P each. i do not know if you have a cappy monitor or you are color blind.

That makes perfect sense, you are mixing up a couple of things. First, resolution does not have anything to do with color reproduction. It is just the amount of pixels.
Secondly, most people prefer "warm" aka oversaturated colors. Realistic colors look "washed out, blue" compared to those.
HTC is known for using screens with a realistic color reproduction. So that is why your Senny looks "dark" compared to other screens.
Your last comment is quite uncalled for. I am only trying to answer your question. Take it or leave it.

so in other words you are not understanding what i am saying, so i am going to post the picture i use as my wallpaper and let you see what i am talking about. for me the picture is naturally dark with a lot of detail, i can see all the detail on the captivate but not on the sensation.

Actually you are the one not understanding what he says... Your computer and your samsung have both screens through which pics are a bit oversaturated, which has the effect that you see more details. HTC uses another method of color enhancement.

from what i see there are no details to it, the colors are so dark that i can not see details to anything. either you all are color blind or something.
If we see the details and you not, wouldn't you be the one color blind?
I just downloaded your image to my phone (well I'm using another rom at the moment, but as far as I know it's the same color) and it looks perfectly clear to me.

tell me, does it look like i am lying? the sensation is at full brightness and the samsung is at 50% brightness, now tell me which one shows better detail?
Next time don't throw your phone on rocks, maybe then your screen will perform better....

Looks to me that youre Senny is ready for the bin. ;)

When I look at that picture on my senny it is brighter than yours, but less bright than on the samsung where there is too much light.
I can see enough detail on my phone, but must agree that it might be a bit dark.

On the samsung you loose details because it has too much light.
Like @Bastaerd and @Sajito say it's all about the hardware, the HTC is different and that is the main reason here.

No need to fight about this, perhaps we skip to another issue in this ROM and not the differences between hardware.

No one ever said that the sensation has same brightness as the samsung, but even on your pic i can see details of the screen on that broken screen. Also you should agree that the picture on the samsung is way to bright colorwise.

Hopefully the screen will give more details with the new digitizer. It's a good phone, I like it.

Apart from the super cool break in the ice effect ( better to have a good laugh about that, right mate? :good: ), did you keep your phone (face up) directly under the sun light for a prolonged period of time? That might damage the screen and, perhaps, the brightness.

Here is what you want
Alright! Let's hear some feedback, if someone has already got the chance to test it (I would test it myself, but unfortunately I've been super busy these last few days..)
Quite interested in knowing if status bar bug persists, whether there are wi-fi and calling problems and if (default) camera recording finally is working properly....

Cheers!

I've tried it, but got frequently reboots after entering my SIM PIN...I've downgraded to the April version again...

Thanks for the feedback! Let's see what others who tried it (if any) say about it.. But I guess that we'll still have to wait for a stable updated version...
