app crashes

I just upgraded from CM10.1 M2 to M3.
I have an app that was supplied from the place I work in, this app should stay active all the time.
At version M2 it worked just fine (and all the versions, CM and others, I used in the past two years). at M3 it closes every 1-2 minutes and then restarts by itself.

does M3 has some kind of a task killer? if so, how do I turn it off?

has anyone experienced anything similar?

I recommend doing a full wipe and trying Tod flash it again. Then your Problem should be gone. Hope that helps.

I quote myself from the franco.kernel thread, since this is also true for the original cyanogenmod kernel. I'm pretty sure this also happens on grouper since it's nearly the same as my tilapia:
About that frequency-reset when screen is turned off and back on: it also happens on cyanogenmod with its own default kernel, whether the power.grouper.so has been renamed or not. If I set max frequency to 1000MHz in the /performance/processor settings menu and then i exit the menu, turn the screen off and back on and re-enter the menu, the frequency is back to 1300. If i do the same, without exiting the processor settings, the app keeps showing that 1000 is the maximum, but the cpu is ramping at 1300 anyway.
If i run in the terminal
Code:
echo "1000000" > /sys/module/cpu_tegra/parameters/cpu_user_cap
like markj338 suggested, the max frequency in the settings menu still keeps at 1300MHz, but the cpu only ramps up to 1000 (the wanted frequency).
I hope this information is somehow useful. Also, this confirms this isn't a franco.kernel's own problem ;)

Not sure if it's new or if it's been mentioned but recently, I've noticed homescreen lags after I enable the navbar. Everything returns to normal when I disable it again, weird.

Tried the latest RC2 and its rock solid and stable but really laggy. Especially from wake. Only mod I have is Franco kernel and gpu oc mildly because if I don't the tablet is damn near unusable from wake for a good 30 sec.

SIP STACK

My apologies if this has been asked already. I searched and found nothing for this answer.

Is the native sip stack available in this ROM or do we have to manually build this package? Any advice is appreciated. I know their are 3rd party apps available (CSIP, Bria etc) but I really need the native sip stack for development purposes.

Thanks,

While I know this is very subjective, I'm guessing that the lack of activity on this thread may mean that CM10.1 isn't the "best" ROM for our device? My Galaxy III runs great with CM10.1 RC2, as does the Nexus....but I'm getting a good bit of lag and have no camera on the Nexus. Perhaps it's time to shop around for other ROMs.

Or it means it is the best, and there are simply virtually no issues to talk about... Nexus 7 doesn't have a rear camera, hence no camera app (Google's decision).

Actually it has a front facing camera and the stock ROM includes a camera app. Google simply omitted the camera icon so many have never seen it. You can make it visible with something like the MoDaCo Toolkit.

The camera app is technically part of gallery app. Google hid the camera icon so there is no way to launch it without a third party camera launcher.
