Sad isn't it.What a bummer - A Nexus device without the latest CyanogenMod
Beyond sad....Sad isn't it.
Even older non-nexus tablets got cm10.2.
Too bad i failed in getting it up and running . Well I did get it booted up but that's the end of it. Lots of FCs.
I'm hopeful though.

I can't think of many people who bought tilapia and don't care about the 3G functionality. If you don't care about 3g functionality, I think you can flash the grouper build (but you need to either modify the .zip or use the recovery from the MultiROM mod).
It's looking like PACMan is the same way. I've been running the last 4.2.2 build and love it, but the new development is all grouper. It's like we got the red-headed stepchild of the Nexus 7 family.I can't think of many people who bought tilapia and don't care about the 3G functionality.![]()
Hopefully that is temporary. I would hate that this is end of the line for tilapia with cm. I just love cm on my tilapia. It's looking like PACMan is the same way. Oh well....at least PA and Slim gives a damn about tilapia....It's looking like PACMan is the same way. I've been running the last 4.2.2 build and love it, but the new development is all grouper. It's like we got the red-headed stepchild of the Nexus 7 family.
I've PM fattire, the cm maintainer for grouper but no reply yet. Perhaps he won't reply.Oh well....at least PA and Slim gives a damn about tilapia....![]()
You keep on trying..... We'll wait.I've PM fattire, the cm maintainer for grouper but no reply yet. Perhaps he won't reply.
How i wish I can overcome those FCs on bootup in cm10.2. Atm totally no idea what's wrong. Countless times I've tried, none successful.
There must be someone else who has tried to bring up cm10.2 for tilapia. If no then I'm at a loss of words. You keep on trying..... We'll wait.![]()
Hey temasekThere must be someone else who has tried to bring up cm10.2 for tilapia. If no then I'm at a loss of words.
Whole world, none?
If i could, I surely would. Something doesn't adds up on why it FCed. Most importantly idk what's that. I only knows selinux flooded my logs.
Able to Kang is one thing, able to bring up a device is another thing. Sadly I'm not successful on the latter.
HiHey temasekI'm on my phone atm and am not really sure but I saw pa and slim already have 4.3 builds up? So I also guess their stuff is booting
They must have a 4.3 device tree for tilapia I guess.. Otherwise they would run into trouble. Maybe it's only a Ramdisk issue why se Linux is FC. No clue if u already tried but maybe using their kernel + Ramdisk + prebuilt modules solves ur issue. Just want to help maybe I'm not up2date but if I see pa and slim on 4.3 it must be possible for cm too I guess
But yeah I only built cm10.2 for a few devices but haven't looked at tilapia yet. But that selinux FC could really be Ramdisk depended

I definitely will do if my time allows (guess Thursday or Friday I try first time) then I can let u know how it goesHi
I build cm10.2 for i9300.
As for tilapia, I mixed slimrom tilapia/grouper device trees with cm10.2 kernel. End result is FC on boot.
I may try again all device/kernel trees from slimrom and build in cm10.2 environment.
If u have any developments on cm10.2 tilapia, pls share over here. I'll do likewise.
Thanks and good luck.
Did you have to do a full reset when moving to PA?As CM 10.2 was taking long I finally installed Paranoid and the system is now much faster, glad they fixed this since with 4.2 the Nexus 7 was one of the worst tablets on the market...
Yes, but I didn't delete any files so after a fresh install I restored everything with titanium backup. In 30 minutes I had everything as it was with cyanogenmod.Did you have to do a full reset when moving to PA?
It's even faster on the 2013 model.Yes, but I didn't delete any files so after a fresh install I restored everything with titanium backup. In 30 minutes I had everything as it was with cyanogenmod.
I have a nandroid backup so I can easily restore CM and update to 10. 2 whenever is out.
But truth be told: nexus 7 with 4. 3 is blazing fast even with full of apps.
