I don't know which channel I'm using, the fact is that in CM9 it worked and when I reverted to CM7 it stop working and I don't know why.
Check the channel in your router settings. Do u use n or g wifi?

If u can, e.g. via mobile data, install wifi analyzer from the market - quite nice tool to check wifi networks, giving also channel number

Testing stable release, it's super fast! :good:
no problems at all... filmed video 5mins+ and no lags..
by the way, there's a way to record videos on mp4 or 3gp? it records on ".m4v",
not a very practical format.

and for me stable is not so stable. i had some random reboots, touch screen stoped responding once. and i have a feeling that it sucks battery more in deepsleep. with nightlies i could leave phone almost empty (a couple percent only) and in the morning it was still now. on stable it suckes about dozen or more percent throughout the night. but this may be a battery calibration issue, maybe i should calibrate? idk...

Used for 5 days, and nothing like that happened to me. Did u make a clean install (as I always do with double wipes as suggested in some posts)?
In 10 hours of night 'standby' only 3 percent down, smooth, no reboots. Only issue was a battery drop from 30% to 4%, which vanished after flashing of last maniac's nightly.

Stable???

I too have a lack luster experience with the stable CM 7.2 after doing a complete reinstall, starting with the CEE.sbf. The biggest 2 things I see as needing attention are: battery life and network connectivity. Battery drain is significant I get about 1 day when I know this device is capable of 2, from prev ROMS, at my typical usage. Battery drain is mostly due to cell standby and display, but for my usage it should be phone idle I don't use it that much. I don't know about the display issue, prolly something to do with sleep but the signal issue appears to be bad connectivity in places where I know signal should be good. I am on Tmobile USA network and have tried all BB's, 1 is certainly better than others but none are as good as factory.

How much does the base SBF affect the performance? Previously I used the nordic base and think it was better, I tried the most recent UK and it sucked, then I tried CEE becaus Quarx apparently vouches for it. Guess I'm gonna go back to Nordic?

SBF shouldn't affect performance, it is rather kernel that matters. Up to my experience last maniac's built is really great. Seems battery lasts longer than in CM official (had 1 - 2 days, now with maniac's I have 40% after 2,5 a day). Plus you have a system A-GPS which works great when you have no data connection and need gps.
I flashed last CM7 kernel, which may also matter.

Ps. have you considered that lower phone idle percentage might be due to better deep sleep?
