These aren't full force close crashes. Just a box saying Sorry! System is not responding. Force close or Wait.

If I don't use A2SD and Data2sd I won't have any free space on internal memory and then the os really starts to die. It's not that much stuff I have, no games even. But stuff I need. What good is Android without apps.

Anyway data2sd requires the A2SD script to be active. My card is a Transcend Class 6. It's not very old and have formatted and partitioned before reflashing a few days ago. Using EXT3. Tried EXT4 with the hope of speed but after a day, nothing could properly see and mount the EXT4 not even the latest Clockwork even after formating again in Gparted.

apps2sd is different to dat2ext or a2sd, apps2sd still keeps some data on the phone and some on your sd card, where as dat2ext or a2sd puts the whole thing into the ext partition except a small amount of user data I think....

When I first started out I used apps2sd with a2sd, my phone lagged so much and i was still using heaps of sd storage and internal storage once I realised that this is not a good way to do it, I stopped using apps2sd and let the scripts do their job of putting the apps where they need to go....

I got the same sd than you and I use S2E (on the market) with an ext3 partition and I don't have any lag. Try it.

Does anyone else have extensive Force Close or Wait prompts doing stupid simple stuff like Phoneweaver, Twitter, Maps, Whatsapp. Happens frequently. Tapping Wait and waiting a bit makes it works though. So it's a real crash actually but massively annoying.

Using S2E for apps2sd and data2sd.
I have wiped everything and related several times without any luck. The apps mostly work ok if I click wait. It doesn't happen always.

I've been having the same problem. This all started yesterday, after over two weeks of using CM7.1, with only data2ext. Didn't change anything besides updating ROMmanager and Titanium Backup.

When wiping and reinstalling CM7.1, I restored everything through Titanium, besides the Google services which gave me most FC's.

In the mean time, almost 24 hours past and no FC's. Keeping my fingers crossed.

For who have problems with gps fix can try to fash this file on cwm but use a older version like 2.x.x

Use the file on this thread or if anyone is s-off just edit the gps.config file on system/etc folder.

I installed 7.10, no problems so far the last few days. I don't use a2sd or something like that. With Titanium back-up you can also put apps to sd if needed.

Thanks for the response all. Sorry was busy with exams. Yeah this phone has just gotten really unusable now. F/C or Wait message on everything. Even the GPS Voice prompts stutter lol. It was a fairly clean CM7.1 Install with my apps restored. Maybe I should try it without data2ext. No space. Need to get a sensation. This thing is at its limit. Useless.

Here's something quite interesting for ppl interested in A2SD.

I always setup A2SD immediatly after flashing, before any other apps. This time I went back to DarkTremor instead of S2E. Running A2SD Repair command, in ADB, after restoring all 79 apps with Titanium backup freed up my internal storage from 18mb to 87mb. Huge difference same script. I don't know why that helped so much but it did. It's stupid that the scripts don't work properly the first time.

I know A2SD was working before the repair execution, becuase the SD-EXT partition was filling up. The repair function seemed to move a lot more stuff. Had to wipe the Dalvik Cache in Recovery though, as widgets and stuff weren't loading properly on reboot. But much faster now, without data2ext. Very fast actually.

I have a freezes while playing music or video. Duration of this just a few miliseconds, but it's annoying as hell. Anybody have this problem?
I have a clean version of Cyanogenmod 7.1.0 no scripts are installed.

In this period, it can receive cals, the alarm works, but i can't answer the phone or turn of the alarm, the only thing i can do is power off.

After the restart everything works fine until the next morning.
I had this issue with another ROM that i have installed (a Sense one).

Any ideeas?

If the phone has a problem this issue should appear from the begining not after a couple of weeks/months correct?

For my understanding is NOT a common problem, I use CM7.1 and is working fine. I believe that is a problem on your phone, perhaps is time to go for a repair. Also you says that you tried two different roms with same issue. I would recommend to install the original stock rom (unroot) and see how is working before.

Hi, here's an idea, do you have any battery saving apps installed? It is possible that if you do, it could be changing the CPU speed on you and underclocking it causing it to not respond in good order.

It crossed my mind, but no such app installed.

Hey, here's another thought, have you changed the CPU governor, the default is
on demand, there are other governors that effect performance included, batterysave, conservative and interactive will definitely effect performance.

Long standing Wifi bug still present

Hi all,

if any of you experience intermittent Wifi problems (icon still green, but no data coming through), please check out this bug http://code.google.com/p/cyanogenmod/issues/detail?id=4390
and leave a comment if you're affected. I've been having this annoying issue for at least half a year, and now it's still present in 7.1 stable and newer nightlies.

Well, i dont kbow how about u guys but i cant get a fix. Doesnt matter if navi or maps are on or even gps fix and the gps its turned on i still neither cant get a fix nor even icon of gps. So, any ideas?

You need to reflash radio only, with older clockworkmod. 2.5.0.7 I think.
