So....I see:)
We need a maintainer to do all the device-specific porting, once that's done it's "plain sailing", as it were. Alex has assured me that he'll maintain the Legend version for as long as his device doesn't break, so we might get lucky with CM9 (ICS based CM), as I think he had fun getting CM7 to work.

Ultimately we need to accept that we're using an old and unpopular device, so we're lucky to have CM support at all really :D.

It would be a dream come true to run cm9 on my legend, because I really don't want to buy anything else for some time now.

Sent from my Legend using XDA App

Please, guys, don't get too excited about Ice Cream Sandwich.

Chances are really high - actually a lot higher than for every other release so far - that we will never see a 100% working release for various reasons.

Yes, from what I learned so far hardware-wise the Legend could very well be capable of running 4.0 and we might even be able to get 2D acceleration working (though I think we will need an updated driver for that - something HTC will never release).
Unfortunately we are still lacking such a great lot of code for drivers with the camera library being an outstanding but very sad example for closed source software and its implications in open source software environment.

Please, don't cross your fingers. The Legend might have reached its end of life (in terms of software development) already.

Ah, and please don't even bother sending HTC emails. They are not Sony or Samsung and not a little bit friendly to the modding community after all.

Sounds a little tragic but undeniable legend is coming to its end, especially when HTC is not supprted at all:(

can anyone tell me which is the best radio version to use with legend??

I'm using v7.13.35.13 but I have signal issues quite often..
I don't know if it matters, but I'm using my legend in Poland with a local operator: Play.

Thanks in advance!
