I just installed D802 CM12-20150207 nightly, blackbird 1/23 kernel, and PA pico Gapps 20150201 and it's running great. It did randomly reboot when I was using the camera once. Seems rebooting is taking 2-3 minutes, which is unusual. And now I'm getting consistent "Process system isn't responding". Other than the 1 reboot & slow boot, usage is fairly good. Will report if anything else comes up, or if a future build resolves the bootup issues.

I had that camera issue on first boot of 02/07 as well, but it resolved itself after that reboot. Reboot does take awhile, but not a huge issue for me.

On my D800, I Advanced wiped (System, Cache, Dalvik, and Data) , installed D802 CM12 official (twice) then installed B14CKBIRD Kernel (twice). Rebooted then installed LP Gapps from Nov 2014 and cleared cache and Dalvik.
Everything works so far. Not one issue and I have opened every app on the phone. GPS, Camera, WiFi, everything is working. Not one FC. I recommend at least two reboots before using it.
You do not install SuperSu, Superuser, or any other "super user" app.
After one of your reboots you should be asked to allow superuser for Synapse. Do it.
Also, go to About phone and pound on the Build Number until you get Developer options. Go into Dev options and select Root Access. I allowed for Apps and ADB.
You may also want to tick the Advanced Reboot in the same window of Dev Options.

Please see my post, #2078, as reference for my install. I was using cm-12-20150213-NIGHTLY-d802 and have not had any issues for the past 2 weeks. battery has been very good. I'm going to try cm-12-20150228-NIGHTLY-d802 and will report my findings.

I was actually asking about stable cm11 nightly for d800. I was under impression that cm12-d802 is fairly new and not as stable as cm11. But if you find it otherwise, I will try it then. thanks!

Sorry. I wasn't really replying directly to you. I do find that CM12 works very well if you follow my instructions for installing. At least, it works great for me on my D800. So far I am getting the same great results with yesterdays CM12 nightly. I haven't really used it much so far, though.

@nguyen2011,

I think I was using the 0208 and it worked pretty well. I just installed the 0222 yesterday. I did get one reboot, but I'm clearing cache/dalvik now, and we'll see in the next couple of days whether I want to go back a version or two.

I am using the latest nightly; cm-11-20150215-NIGHTLY-d800 and rotation/compass does not work.
On rotation, see #2070 for modem zip to install. (this would be if you tried a different nightly and it didn't fix the rotation)

Both rotation and compass are working perfectly for me. (Except the Home screen does not rotate. I believe it is not supposed to rotate.)

Been using the 20150228 Nightly for several days, now. No issues at all. Battery seems good.

Anyone know if the kernel for these CM builds are bare bones or comparable to Render/dorimanx? No one makes CM11 kernels anymore, but I always distance myself from mpdecision.

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.4, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

I am NOT the device maintainer for AT&T LG G2 D800, if/when an official maintainer would like to take this post over contact me/mod and we will have it transferred. I just posted this for info until CM gets an official maintainer here.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.
