I was wondering if there is a quick fix to the color of contact names shown on the messages notification in the notification drawer. when only one contact sends me a text message, the color of his/her name is shown correctly. When I receive unread messages from two or more contacts , the contact names get this faded color that is slightly difficult to read. This issue is only happening with the stock messaging app. other apps don't have this issue. I attached two pics to show you what i mean. It can be seen that with viber, this issue is nonexistent. Thank you for this great rom!

by the way, i have the triband version of Virgin Mobile, and the rom version is OCT-L-M5-5.1.1 -20151031, but i remember having this small issue even with previous builds.

@eurohunter, not sure as I've never noticed this. Are you running the stock theme? If so it may be a CM bug. I'll look I to it.

@eurohunter I have a ? What is that star in your status bar and what theme are u using stock Octos does not have these issues or a star in anything to be placed in the status bar
yes, madbat is correct, it's the priority notifications. I recently updated to M5 (not the weekly). I did not touch the default theme since then. I am surprised i am the only one seeing this "faded color" in the messages. It has never bothered me before, but I thought I'd point it out. I attached a few photos to show you what theme i am using, the build version, and the faded colors. :) If no one else sees this issue on their end, it's probably my phone's fault, and I should shut up about it, lol.

From my guess its the theme style that will affect the system ui if you don't see it with the default setting

So folks, we've got a lot to talk about. A while back we decided to go back to our roots. AOSP for a base. We got our Nexus line running AOSP & started working on our CAF devices. As you may know, it was not an easy task. In the end we were just to short handed & had to make a decision based with you guys in mind. We value each & everyone of our loyal fans. So the decision was made. Going forward with all non-Nexus devices we will have a separate branch, CM based as it was with LP. Things are progressing quickly now & we've added a new member to our team which has helped a lot! Our testers for most of our devices have the first beta CM based Oct-MM builds & are giving them the rundown. Were currently working on releasing a final LP 5.1.1 milestone (M6) and then its full steam ahead with Marshmallow! I hope you all understand & believe me we have some surprises in store for Oct-MM. No eta on when your device will drop but just as soon as our testers have deemed them stable we'll be releasing weeklies again. Won't be long, stay tuned I'll update you guys soon! Thanks for all your support, Oct-M is gonna be a blast! ?? #OctOS4life ??

Running the OctOS Marshmallow nightly on my triband right now. Bluetooth, MMS, and data all work great, no more airplane mode toggling. Opengapps Google video recorder keeps crashing though. Other than that it's incredibly smooth and seems very stable. Thanks to all of you for supporting this weird model!
