Just to be clear, are you running this (Oct-M) on the triband? We have a d2spr build as well as this build which is d2refreshspr (the triband) the photos thing sounds like a sync error. What gapps package did you use?
so, im confused a little here. i know im a little behind here. i didn't know those replies were there. anyway, i was directed once to install what i thought was a weekly build as a complete install. im also under the impression that these have to (weeklies) have to be installed on a wiped system. im probably confusing myself but, i would think a weekly would be dirty installed right into the "system". well, as an update which, these are. then it would go, wipe the system, is twrp factory wipe good enough?, then you clear the dalvik and the cache and install gapps. then install weeklies right straight in. right? no hurry. if yor busy ill ask again. thanks folks.

My apologies looks like I posted in wrong thread.
I do not have the triband S3 but I downloaded the correct rom for my regular S3 d2spr from the team octos website, this one OCT-M-R1-6.0.1-20160319-D2SPR.ZIP.
I also used this gapps, Open Gapps Android 6.0 Micro Gapps, from the same website.

I went into accounts > sync and there were no errors, when I opened it up I would still get the continuous blue refresh circle.

I'm back on OctOS L and APN settings is there, I can see the SD card now but Photos still not syncing. I'm going to try another gapps.
hey guys,i just read through one of my threads and it had a link fot the sph-l710 to get twrp. for sparks but the link is for the triband. same thing?

Data done Rite phones use a very different network setup. Some kind of virtual network or something. I don't think anyone has gotten data to work on those with anything but stock.
Fantastic. I didn't realize these were any different from my old l710 when I quickly grabbed a replacement.
I know this is a bit off topic but do you know if anyone has the stock rom for them? My backup appears to be broken.

For someone's reference the 5.1.1 version of this rom seems to work ok. I can call and send/receive mms. 3G mostly works.

So you're Virgin Mobile & can't get data on Oct-M but you have it on Oct-L?

Check sammobile for the stock firmware for VM, tho I doubt its there. I'll ask a few of our testers if they know of a stock VM ROM.

On OCT-L-M6-FINAL-5.1.1-20151229 I have working cell, sms (mms doesn't seem to work I thought it did), and 3G. Been using it like that for about 4 days now.

The stock backup I made restores and boots once. It appears to connect to LTE, but also seems to be missing many things. After about 2 minutes of random things stopping unexpectedly it locks up. The next boot hangs after the samsung boot animation.

Make sure your stock backup is on you external sd card. Because to go back to stock after being on lollipop, you must wipe internal storage. Not just wipe data, you must specifically wipe internal storage, then restore your stock backup and all should be well.

I was reading that for some reason that virgin "data done right" triband s3 is different from the other triband. And both are different from the regular L710. So now there are 3. Nice

Wiping internal storage doesn't seem to make any difference. Thanks for the suggestion though.

It will work. It's missing things because of the way lollipop encrypts internal storage. Try formatting internal, wipe data, system, cache and dalvik. Then restore your backup. As long as you backup is complete; meaning system, data, and boot.

I've wiped everything except the external sd. When I restore the system, data, and boot the MD5's check out but when the phone boots nearly all of the apps are missing and the phone locks up. I'm not sure whats happening there, I've never had problems with any backups on my old L710.

Sorry to hear it. Your issue seemed like textbook case of needing to format internal. Sorry it didn't work. Hard to get specific for you without having the phone in my hands. If you try anything else, or come up with any other info, I'll do my best to assist.

I extracted my stock backup and pulled out the APN xml file and the telephony sqlite3 database. The entries are different from the virgin.xml apn list in this rom (and the universal APN fix). I attempted to use the APN's from my backup. Seemed like the 5.1.1 rom would at least get an IP address on LTE but would time out connecting to anything. The current weekly build of this rom wasn't any different with the stock APN file.

I also looked through my build.prop and didn't see anything that jumped out at me as being different. But I don't really know what I'm looking for. If any files from my stock backup would be helpful in getting a Data Done Right patch going I'd be more than happy to provide them and test. Seems like we'd have more people in the same boat as me...I had no idea there was any difference until it was too late.

I would love to have a fast-charge feature!
I charge from my PC often and it bugs me to see that i have to wait 3 hours to charge my phone.

Thank you!

I'll look into it, we might be able to add fast charge.

I'll let our refresh guru know about your situation & what's going on. If we get something for you to test I'll get in touch with you via PM.

Bluetooth audio not working

I did a completely clean flash of the R1 build on my triband S3. Everything worked great except for Bluetooth audio. I had no problems pairing the phone with a Jawbone Jambox or 2014 Nissan Altima, but there is no audio... No system sounds or media sounds. Play Music would look like it's playing a song but you can't hear it. Song titles appear correctly on the car's display. Waze and Google maps navigation... No voice.

I checked the Bluetooth profiles settings to make sure media and system sounds were both selected. I even tried one or the other by itself. I have also checked all volume settings for anything that might be muted.

I have tried flashing back to Oct-L and Bluetooth audio works perfectly fine, so it's not a hardware problem.

Any ideas?
