I had the exact same issue on my d2vzw once & on d2att several times. It turned out my power button was stuck. Took it apart & cleaned around the power button & it solved it. Sounds like it might be what's happening to you.

!
I've got this rom flashed to my sons 2dspr it's awesome.
But its doing the same it will not power up. It randomly powered off and won't boot past the S3 splash screen (not to android ,TWRP or even download mode) . I've already checked battery and it's good.
I found a lot of references to the "Smack Method"... Lol, no thx...
So I guess if I can find a small enough screw driver I'll try to take it apart. Unless there is another way to clean out the power button?

This seems to be a reoccurring issue on most Galaxy devices.

Great Rom thanks for sharing !!!

@ckvisme, It's funny you mentioned the "smack method", we have a tester with d2tmo that had the power button issue & he said & I quote " banged the mofo on the table" & it fixed it lmao ?

So I gave my son our old s4 to use until we can get him another phone (screen is smashed up and the battery looks pregnant but it does work) .

Man that sucks! Swap the battery from the S3 out with the S4. I believe its the same. The pregnant battery is BAD news bro

Thank you for the heads up on the first release! I downloaded and flashed it earlier today with opengapps micro, and been playing with it off and on for a few hours. I havent tested everything, but everything I have so far is working as intended and I do like the feel of it. So I will enjoy it :D and I hope others get around to check it out! :good:

Not sure what I am missing but I keep getting a bootloop. I've tried flashing 4 times now.
I am on NJ2 with twrp 3.0.0 (latest) installed I am coming from KK 4.4.2c(Wicked v8.2) . Ive tried wiping everything..factory/reset,system, cache, dalvik, datas. and still no luck. I've noticed i can't flash lp roms either anymore without getting the loop (used to flash 5.1s be4 going back touchwiz). Any idea?

Which gapps? Have you tried without gapps? Might have to Odin back to NDC. Good luck. Hope you get it working. I'm on NDC modem and I was able to get octos Marshmallow build working with pico gapps using TWRP 3.0 and moped Ryder's virgin mobile APN fix.

I just wanted to confirm that I am on NJ2 w/TWRP 3.0.0.0 as well. The previous rom I had was OctOS 5.1, but before that I tested almost all TW and non-TW roms. I deleted everything you listed as well and installed this OctOc r1 with no problems, using open_gapps-arm-6.0-micro-20160320.

Thanks a lot for the MM rom! I just flashed the first release last night. I was curious about one issue that has been happening to me recently (which i thought would end after flashing the new rom). My time zone keeps switching to GMT randomly. This issue started happening after I flashed and started using Lollipop M6 Final version. It never happened on versions M5 and below. More often than not, it switches to GMT time zone after reboot. But, it has also switched several times when the phone was idle. Sometimes it reverts back automatically, but generally, once it's switched, it stays like that. Generally I fix this issue manually by either turning airplane mode on and off, or by using the LTE switch. I searched online and it seems other people have had this issue with other phones as well, but I was curious why it started happening to me on M6 and onward. With this issue, the alarm has become unreliable. I am wondering if this issue has happened to anyone else as well.

Also, I noticed the LTE switch is not present anymore on the list of quick settings tiles. Is this MM specific or ROM specific?

LTE switch should be there, especially if not using a theme. Long press edit tiles & swipe left to right & you'll see settings. Hit restore default settings. It should be there. ( see pics below) The time switching is a Sprint network issue. Its plagued AOSP/CM & even TW rom randomly for awhile now. Most reports came from virgin, or boost etc.. There is no real fix for it.
