[ROM][d2spr][Uber-4.9] AICP - 12.1 - N 7.1.2_r29

i am using freedompop, which i went back down to stock to get to work. but youtubes 60fps now works for my phone when it didnt previously. so now i dunno if i should reflash this XD

if i were to though where would i get the apn fix zip?

If anyone else needs one, here is one with an aroma installer for all of the most common Sprint mvno's (Sprint, virgin, boost, FreedomPop, etc.)

Flash ROM, gapps, and apn fix zip. Then boot up, and setup on wifi if you can. Then boot back to recovery and dirty flash ROM only ( meaning no wipes or anything). Then LTE will be functional. Ever since lollipop we've had to do the second dirty flash to get data working. It's the same on the marshmallow and nougat ROMs.

Ok. I didn't make it, just had it from awhile back. Honestly don't remember who made it.

Had a look inside the zip, this one should work. I usually use the ones specifically for virgin though.

This is the one I use for virgin mobile.

Still gotta do the double flash for all apn fixes.

I use that one too. Just a bummer the aroma one didn't work. The apn actually showed up in the system apns list. The one we use doesn't oddly

Did you get a chance to try the other aroma one? I haven't had time to to appease my inner flash-aholic lately. Wife just had surgery and I have to do everything (and I mean Everything) for a bit.

Yeah I said it didn't work you even said you didn't make it haha. Can't vouch for other carriers but virgin deff a no go even after dirty flash.

so now suddenly i am having problems with getting the rom to work. i installed it, the gapps and the apn fix but everytime i boot in all the gapps stop working and constantly give error messages.

Hey buddies...I flashed this rom, I'd really like to keep it but I can't seem to get any data service at all...

I'm on Sprint so I thought I didn't need to do deal with any apn flashing shenanigans....

I have no APNs to choose from. If I click Access Point names from the mobile network settings area, It shows "Access point name settings are not available for this user"

If I click carrier settings I get "com.android.phone has stopped."

I tried to manually enter some sprint APN information I found on the net, but besides that I doubt it was even current stuff so It probably wouldn't work anyways but it also didn't seem to save once I got out and again was a long list of empty and the access point name settings are not available message in the background again. When I had AICP 5.1 under those settings I saw a multitude of options to chose from(in apn settings).

Since I'm pretty much at the information overload stage I lackadaisically decided to try the wipe cache and dalvik. More of a hail Mary then a confident "this oughta do it" and of course it still doesn't work at all..

Hoping someone here might be able to put 1 and 1 together for me because after messing with this (with WiFi) the thought of going back to 4.4.2 again is turrible....even my camera seems to be functioning decently enough.

forgot to mention I can make calls and texts seem to be ok I haven't sent a picture message but seems to be totally isolated to 3g/lte etc.

Seems to be an issue on all the lineage based ROMs for d2spr on 7.1.2. Most of the others, including lineage, seem to have it sorted. I'm sure aicp team will have it shortly as well. Carbon, Vanir, and, Commotio, confirmed data working. Aicp is one of the great ones, all the bells and whistles you could hope for.

Damn that's too bad, well I guess it's back to the drawing board, this is definitely what I get for all the times I have complained about my laggy Sprint LTE and spotty coverage.. A spotty 5mbs LTE connection is still way better than none at all.

Madbat gotta tell you, your posts have without a doubt saved my rear so many times, I just signed up since I exhausted my searching capabilities and really wanted to fix this but I've lurked the hell outta this place for a while :laugh:

AICP is just so damn perfect, hopefully they can get this data fix going again before everyone gets rid of their S3's lol...

Since you hold AICP in high regard as well, of those 3 you mentioned which is your preferred? Anything come close to it?

I actually wanted to get AICP - 11.0 - MM 6.0.1_r30 version 8... But seems like the d2spr version is no longer being offered for download on the aicp site (or anywhere really). Gonna actually head to that post now and ask what's up with it.
