First and foremost, I'm very much the noob when it comes to this. Any "knowledge" I've obtained in this short time has been from the great forums and threads on this site. This is my first time for rooting, and for flashing a Rom. All went seemingly well (i.e. the S3 works well and looks terrific! Thank you! I'm hooked

, but I lost root (SU) after flashing the Rom.
I've d/l'd the SuperSU file mentioned in previous post. I select it on my SDcard through "Apply Update" in Cyanogenmod Recovery. It begins installation (and appears to complete...I guess?...see note below). When it goes back to Cyanogenmod screen, I select "Reboot". When rebooted, the device is still not rooted.
If it helps, although the text scrolls kinda quickly when "installing", I noticed the following:
"Patching Sepolic
Failure. Abort."
When this appears, the install continues on another 10 seconds (maybe) where it appears to still be running the update before it goes back to Cyanogenmod screen. That is when I select "Reboot system now". System reboots, but is not rooted.
As a noob, my question is, what am I doing wrong?
