mmh sorry i don t know so much about that stuff. what you mean with back cover? like a normal cover for the phone? then no! i don t use one.
and how do i get a logcat?
And my english is not good :s
I mean something like this. The nfc antenna is stick to the back cover. (not nfc chip, only antenna). Maybe if you replaced your back cover the new antenna could be different and causing troubles.
For the logcat, please reboot your device, try turn on nfc, take logcat.

Please edit your post and add the CODE tag around you log.
your log said:
Code:
E NxpTml : _i2c_open() Failed: retval ffffffff
which mean an i2c communication problem. I had this long time ago.
Have you replaced your antenna?
Please send me a full dmesg: connect your device to your computer, check connectivity with adb devices,
Code:
adb reboot
adb shell dmesg > dmesg
this will create a dmesg file into your current terminal folder. Check the log start at [ 0.000000] before sharing, like:
Code:
 :) % dmesg | head [cm-14.1] ~/clones/android_device_sony_msm8974-common

No GPS for me unfortunately. I've tried clearing the caches', reflashing the boot image, clearing play services and framework, different APN and GPS.conf settings, different GPS apps and even tried another kernel (m5 kernel).
Today I might try another gapps package as I have the nano package installed right now?
If anyone knows how to fix it, please post.

Can you, please, try:
Install satstat, reboot the device, launch satstat to acquire a signal, post logcat & dmesg ?

I'll find out how to use and post logcat & dmesg...

Hi,

I confirm that wifi is not working on my Z3C.

I'll find out how to use and post logcat & dmesg...
If you have adb access:
adb logcat -d > logcat
adb shell dmesg > dmesg
will create dmesg & logcat into your current terminal folder.
Please reboot before taking logs, it is important to have the early beginning.

Anyway we made great progress with the 14.1 version. I don't know which one will be fixed first ;)

Yes i use it. I like 5.1 more, because I use XPrivacy and some more XPosed modules. I don't like the 6+ permission control.
Keep up your good work!
Maybe I switch sometime in future to 7.1.1., but current the Z3 feels more fast than everything I used before. Never change a running system! ;)

Does someone still use this rom after the 14.1 release?
Yes, I still use it and also my wife.
I regularly check 14.1 and if it has the same stability as this 12.1 I'd consider to switch. But I just read some day ago, that on 14.1 encryption (FDE) was broken and FDE is a fundamental MUST for me.
I'm still checking all Lineage (or compatible) 14.1 on my Z5 and so far ALL of them end in boot loop when I try to encrypt my Z5 - so unusable for me. And as long as my Z5 is not usable as a DD, I need my Z3 full functional! :D:D
In the meantime I'd checked your 14.1, thanks a lot for your endless effort!
Encryption is currently still not working on 14.1, so I will stay on this really stable ROM! :)
And one for me important feature: All phones I had starting from my Galaxy Note with my first CM were always complete "blacked out" - therefore I need a functional theme engine to use a black theme.

Still using it for daily use and will continue until 14.1 getting stable and xposed support began.
Love it and would be dissapointed if it is no longer updated, thank you and keep up the good job.

Anyway, may i ask, why my cLock widget couldn't detect location and weather update. I've tried;
1. Disconnect from wifi, change location to high accuracy and let it detect via mobile data
2. Disconnect from wifi, but put location on device only and let it detect via mobile data (I found this method at another forum)
Both method doesn't work. Is there any other solution to this.

Sorry again, another question, is cm12.1 supported magisk and if yes how ? I've tried the official magisk by flashing it and it end up with bootloop
